SECTION 1. 'l'hat the public interest, convenience and
necesnity require that concreto curbs be constrt:cted upon and alo~
portions of SiJ:th J.venue and Camino Real, in said City.
SECTION ~. That pursuant to the provisions of an Act of
The Legislature of the State of California, designated as the "Special
Inventi,ation, LimJ.ttition f..nd IJajority Protest Act of 1931, Stat. 1931,
Pace 1372", as amonded, it is hereby determined that the nature, location
and extent of the proposed concrete curbs shall be in accordance \'Jith
the plans and Specjfications heretofore prepared by the City En:;inecr
of the Ci ty of Arcsdia, said plans bein.'.'; desiGnated as Plans No. C-160,
Sheets 1 and 2, uhich ~ero, on the 6th day of August, 1940, filed with
the Clerk of this Council, and reference is hereby made to said Plans
and Specifications so filed for all particulars relative to the nature,
location and extent of said proposed improvement, and it is hereby
ordered that said Plans and Specifications be made open to the inspection
of any person or persons desirinG to inspect the same.
SECTIon 3. That the boundary of the district 'to be specially
assessed to pay the cost of said improvment shall include all those lots
frontin[\ on and adj.3.cent to Sixth Avenue betrJeen Camino Real and the
Southerly City Boundary, and all those lots frontin3 on and adjacent to
Camino Real between Santa Anita Avenue and Fourth Avenue, and is more
particularly described as follo\7s:
All that portion of the said City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, included \7itbin the
followin[) described exterior lines, to-wit:
Be[)innin[) at the intersection of the Southerly boundary
line of the City of Arcadia \7ith the Southerly prolongation
of the Vle1Jterly line of Lot 109, Arcadia AcreaGe Tract,

as shown on map recorued in Book 10, Page 18 of
Maps, records of said County; thence Northerly in
a direct line to a point in the Easterly line of Lot
104 of said Tract, said point .bein~ 447.5 feet Southerly
from the Northeasterly corner of said Lot 104; thence
~esterly parallel with and 447.5 feet Southerly from the
Northerly line of said Lot 104 to the ~esterly line of
said lot; thence Northwesterly in a direct line to the
Southeasterly oorner of Lot 24 of said Tract; thence
':Iesterly in a direct line to the intersection of the
center line of Santa Anita Avenue with the Westerly pro-
lon~ation of the Soutr.erly line of Lot 25 of said Tract;
thence Northerly alonG the center line of Santa Anita
Avenue to its intersection with the ~esterly prolonGation
of the Northerly line of lot 22 of said Tract; thenoe
~asterly in a direct line to the inteFsection of the
center line of Fourth Avenue \7i th the Easterly prolong-
ation df the Northerly line of Lot 42, Tract No. 808, as
shovn on map recorded in Book 16, Pages 82 and 83 of Maps,
records of said County; thence Southerly along the center
line of Fourth Avenue to its intersection with the center
line of Camino Real; thence Easterly along the center line
of Camino Real to its intersection vii th the Northerly
prolon:;ation of the Easterly line of lot 122 of said Arcadia
Acroage ~~ract; thence Southerly in a direct line to the
intersoct;ion of the Easterly line of Lot 124 of said Arcadia
Acroage Tract with the Southeasterly boundary line of the
City of j,rcadia; thence South\7esterly and Westerly along
saie] boundary line of the City of .Arcadia to the point
of beGinning.
The foregoing description is General only. A plat or llap
of said District indicating by a boundary line the extent of the lands
included in the proposed assessment district is on file in the office
of the City Engineer of the City of Arcadia. Reference is hereby made
to said Plat or I'lap for a further, full and complete description of
said Assessment District, which said Plat or Map is designated as
Assessment Distriot W-32, and said Map so on file shall govern for all
details as to the extent of such Assessment District.
SECTlON 4. It is hereby determined that the proposed
improvement and all proceedin~s for the issuance and payment of
Strcet Improvoment Bonds reprosentin3 assessments for the cost thereof,
and provisions for all other acts necessary to conduct the proIosed
proceedinGs shall be conducted under the provisions of an Act of the
Legislature of the state of California desienated as the "Improvement
Act of 1911", approved 1911, as amended.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
