SioCTIor; 1. That the pUblic il1terest :3.nd convenience require,
and it is tbe intontion of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, to
order the 1'0110":n.3 ':!ork and L~prove nent to he <lone in sf\id City of
Arcadia, to-\7i t:
First: That a concrete curb be constructed on each side of
Sixth Aven11.e from the Southorly line of Camino ;teal to the Southerly
City Boundary line, inclwlin~ curb returns at Camino Real and Sixth
Avenue, and at Lon:::;den Avenue and Sixth Avenue.
Second: That a concrete curb be constructed on the northerly
sido of Camino Real from the Zasterly line of Sunta Anita Avonue to tAe
~osterly lino of Fourth Avonucj that a conc~ote curb be constructed on the
Southerly side of Camino Real f.rJmthe Easterly line of Santa Anita
Avenue to tho Southerly prolon~ation of the center line of Fourth Ave-
nlW, includinG curb returns at Sant~.Anita Avenue and Camino Real.
SBCTION 2. That the 3rade to "bich the work hereinaJove
described shull be done und the improveLlent mude as provided in t,1is
Resolution, is sho~n on Profile and Improvement Plan No. C-160, sheets
1 and 2, on file in the office of the City En~ineer of said City, to
which Profile reference is hereby made for
the description of such ~ra1e.
SECTlC<~1 3. All the forer;oin::; \70rk s:1all be done in accordance
with s~id Proi'ile and Improvement Plan No. C-160 un file 1_n the office
of the City En::;J.neer of said City of Arcadia.
AIl work on gradin'j and the construction of concrete curbs
shall be in accordance ':!ith tho follo'.d.n;3 Specifications on file in the
office of the City Clerk of auld City of Arcadia, to-~it: "Standard
Specifications No.- 0 for the construction of curbs, sidowalks, [lutters,

Said Profile and Improvement Plan No. 0-160, and the
Specifioations here Inc.':Jove referred to t'lero adopted by Resolution No.
1064 of saiu City Council of the City of Arcac1ia, and the same are
hereby made a part of this Resolution and are hereby referred to for a
more particular description of said work.
All streets ~a avenues referred to in this Rosolution are
public streets and avenues of aald City of Arcauia.
SECTION 4. That said contemplated work and improvement in the
opinion of the City Council of said City of Arcadia, is of more than
local or ordinary public benefit and said City Oouncilhereby makes the
expense of said ~ork and improvement charGeable upon the District, which
District said City Council horeby declares to be the Di2trict benefited
by said uork and improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and
expens0:J thereof, t':hich said District is bounded anu described as follo,'ls:

The above description is general only. A plat or Map of
said District indicatinG by a boundary l~ne the extent of the territory
included in the proposed Assessment District, desi3nated as Assessment
District No. ~-32, is on file in the office of said City En3ineer.
Reference is hereby made to the said Plat or Map for a further, full
and complete description of said Assessment District. The said Plat or
Map so on file shall govern for all details as to the extent of such
assessment district.
SECTION 5. Said City Council also deter~ines and declares
that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent .each assessment of
Twenty-Five (~25.00) Dollars, or more, remaining unpaid for thirty (30)
days after the date of the Warrant to represent the expenses of said
work and improvement. Said Serial Bonds shall extend over a period
endinG nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeedinG
the fifteenth day of the next October followin3 their date and an even
annual. proportion of the principal sum thereof. shall be payable by coupon
on the second day of January, every year after tho fifteenth day of the
next October follorring their date, until the whole is paid, and the
interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon on the second days of
January and July respectively of each year after their date at the rate
of six (6%)'per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said
principal and interest are paid. Said Bonds and interest thereon shall
be payable at the office of the City Treasprer of

any objections to said proposed work or i~provement or to the extent of the
District to be assessed, or both, may appear before said City Council and
show cause why said proposed work or improvement should not be carried
out in accordance ~itb this. Resolution.
SECTION 7. All of tbe proceedin3s for the aforesai1 ~ork .
and improvement and for the issuance of said Bonds shall be badi !lI\d taken
under and in accordance ~ith the provisions of an Act of the Legislature
of the State of California, known and desiGnated as the "Improvement Act
of 1911", approved April 7, 1911, and of all Acts supplementary thereto
or ~endatory thereof.
SEC'l'IOll 8. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause
to be posted conspicuously along the line of said contemplated work or
improvement and also along all the open streets within the District liable
to be assessed and hereinabove o.escr.ibed, notices of the passage of this
Resolution in the manner and form required by law.
SECTION' 9. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution a.nd sha:l cause the same to be pUblished twice in the
Arcadia Tribune B.nd Arcadia News, a neY1Spaper of f;eneral circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia and heroby desi:::;nated for
that purpose; the City Clerk shall also mail notice of the adoption of this
Resolution to aD. persons owning real proporty proposed to be assessed,
vlhose names and E.ddresses appear on the las.t equalized assessment roll
for City taxes, or as known to said Clerk. Such notice shall be given
in the manner anc. form required by said "Improvement Act of 1911"
approved April 7, 1911, and of all Acts supplementary thereto or
amendatory thereof.
