RESOLUTION NO. 1073.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
REQUESTING FROM THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES COliNTY
CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVE11ENT OF A PORTION OF
HOJ,IX AVENUE IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOYiS:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, this Council deems it necessary that
shoulders be constructed and paved on the easterly side of Holly
Avenue from Palm Drive north for a distance of approxi mately nine
hundred (900) feet, which shoulders when constructed and paved will
conform to the existing paving on said Holly Avenue from the end of
the shoulder proposed to be constructed to Duarte Road, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has available for use
by the City of Arcadia certain gasoline tax funds for the improvement
of highways of secondary importance, and
WHEREAS, said Holly Avenue in the City of Arcadia is a
highway of secondary importance,
NOW, rHER1FORE, be it resolved that the Board of ,Supervisora
of Los An6eles County appropriate the sum of THREE HUNDRED FIFTY
($350.00) DOLLARS from that portion of gasoline tax funds available
to the City of Arcadia for use on highways of secondary importance
for the purpose of constructing and paving shoulders on the easterly
side of Holly Avenue extending from Palm Drive north for a distance of
approximately nine hundred (900) feet.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.

regular meetinG of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on
the 6th day of }lovember, 1940, by the affirmati ve vote of at le ast
