A Hesoluticn of the Bosrn of Trustees of the City of
4 Arcadia Declaring ita intention to Improve a Portion of Firat
Avenue. in the City of Arcadia, and Determining tl:at Serial Bonda
Shall be I.ssued to Represept the Cos.t there of.'

The Board of Trnstees of the Cit;v of Arcadia do resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require,
and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Arcadia, state of California, to order tho follo~ing street work
to be done in said City, to-wit:
FIRST: That a cement Aide~alk. five (5) feet in width, be
constructed along the easterly side cf said FIHST AVENUE from the
southerly line or Anita Avenue, prolonged and extended westerly
across said FIRST AVllliUE, to the northerly line of the right of
way of the Atchison. Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company (Coast
Linc), and also, that a cement sidewalk, five (5) feet in width,
be constructed al:mg the westerly side of FIRST AV;~IiUF. from the
Southerly line of Haven Avenue prolonged and extended easterly
acrOSR said "l!'!Jl.ST AVENUE, to thr. Northerly line of the right of
way of the Atchison, :;:'opeke. and Santa ll'e rlailway Company (Coait
Line), in said City, in accordance with and where shown upon
Improvement Plens. Profiles apd Cross-Sections No.B~lOC, and in
further accordance with Special Specifications "A" for the con-
atrllction of cer.:ent n1dewalks 1n the City of .1.rcadiG., adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the City of Arcadia by Resolution No.
6 of said City. (excepting al~ng such portions of said 1IJST AVr~
upon which a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width hns already
been constructed Ilni! now is to tho offic~al line llnd grade); said
sidewalks to be constructed in accordance with an~ where shovm
upon said ImprovGmnnt Plans, Profiles and Croos-sections lio.B-lCC,
and in further accordance wi th said SpeCial Specifications "A" for
the construction of cement ~idewalks. adoptod by the Board of
Trustees of the City of Arcadia by R~solution No. 6 of said City.
SECORD: That a ce~ent curb (Claae B) be constnlcted along
the easterly side of tl1fl roadway of said FL~BT AVENUE from the
southerly line of Anita Avenue prolonged and extended westerly
acrOES said FIR~T AVENUE. to n lino dravmacross said FI~~T AVEnuE
six (6) feet northerly from and parallel with the northerly line 0
st. Joseph street and from B line drawn across said FIJST AVr~UE
fifty (50) feet southerly from and pa~allel with the southorly lin
of st. Joseph Street to the northerly line of the right 'ofway of
the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe ,Railway Company (COal'Jt I.ine) in
said City. a~d also that a cement curb (Class B) be constructed
along tho westerly sid"e of the roadway of said lIRST AVEN~ from

All specifications referred to in this Resolution are on
fne in "he office 01' tho Oity Ole rk of the Oi ty of Arcaaia,
All Improvement Plans, Profiles and Cross-Seotions re-
ferred to in this Resolution are on file in the office of the Cit
Engineer of the City of Arcadia,
S:r:CTION 4. The Superintendent of streets of tho Oi tlT of
Arcadia shall immediately post, or CellSe(~to be posted, conspic-
uously along the lines of saia work and improvements, notices
of the paasage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and
form required by law.
SECTIOlf 5. The above:~esol11tion is herchy designated
and in all proceedings hereafter had thereunder shall be known
and referred to as Resollltion of Intention No.8.

SECTION 6. Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, the
3rd day of August, 1916, at the hour of 8 p. m. of said day, in
the Oi tw Council rooms in the Ci ty Hall of the City of Arcadia
in said City. any and all persons having any objeotions to the
proposed work, may appear before the Board of Trllste.es of the sa1
City and show cause Why said proposed improvements should not be
carried out in accordance ,lith the foregoing Hesollltion of
Intention No. O.
SIWTICN 7. The City Clerk shall certjfy to the adoption
of this Hesolution, and sholl Cllllae the salJle to be published by
two insertions in the Arcadia Journal, a weekly newspaper pub-
lished in said 01 ty and horehy designated for that purpoae.
