RESOLUTION. 7l.c-: 7 Z
WHEREAS, there will be presented to the voters of
the State of California en November 7th, 1922, three proposed
Constitutional Amendments, to-wit: Propositions Nos. 10, 11
and 30 on the ballot. as follows:
Proposition No. 10, designed to place a tax
upon all property owned by municipalities and used
in conr..eotion with publio utilities operated by
such munioipa1ities;
Proposition No. 11, which ~roposes to take
away from cities the pcwer to determine rates and
regulate their own municipal:: 'I' owned public utili-
ties, and to place them under the cowplete control -
both as to rates and regulation - of the State Rail-
road Commission;
Proposition No. 3D, which proposes to take
away from the cities the power to control their own
streets, and to give to the State Railroad Commission
exclusive power to grant frnnchises, lmltmited as to
time, for interurban or loc~l street railways or bus
lines over any and all of the streets of the oities,
depriving cities of all voice in the determination
of such matters;
and,
WHEREAS, the adoption of any of these proposed
amendments would be disastrous to the municipalities and to
the best interests of the people therein;

is unalterably opposed to each and everyone Of the said pro-
posed Constitutional Amendments, to-wit, Propositions Nos. 10,
11 and 30, and urges the citizens of this municipality to vote NO
on each of said propositions, and to do all in their power to
defeat them, and thus protect the public interestS.
