HomeMy WebLinkAbout2257 RESOLUTION NO. 2257 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING A CERTAIN INTER- SECTION OF PUBLIC STREETS AS A STOP INTERSECTION AND DIRECTING THE PLACING AND MAINTAINING OF STOP SIGNS AT SAID INTERSECTION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARC1U>IA, CALIFORNIA, DOE3 HEREBY DETERMINE, RESOLVE 1U'ID ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That upon the findings of the Clty Engineer of the Clty of Arcad16, the following descrlbed intersectlon of cer- taln pub11c streets In the Clty of Arcadia under the excluslve jurlsdlction of the City Councl1 of the Clty of Arcadla, is here- by deslgnated as a stop intersectlon in accordance vlth the pro- vlslons of Sectlon 37 of Ordlnance No.728 of the City of 1\.rcadla, to-wl t: For trafflc entering or crossing Longden Avenue at Its Inter- section vith Second Avenue. SECTION 2. The Clty Engineer of sald Clty 1s hereby authorlzed and dlrected to cause to be placed and malntained stop signs at the folloYinglocatlons, to-wlt: (a) Upon the Easterly slde of Second Avenue at or near the Soutberly line of Longden Avenue, (b) Upon the Westerly slde of Second Avenue at or near the Northerly line of Longden Avenue. SECTION 3. Each of the slgns so directed to be placed and maintained shall oonform wlth and shall be placed as provlded In Sectlon 471 of the Veblcle Code of the State of Callfornla. SECTION 4. The Clty Clerk sball eertlfy to the adoptlon of thls Resolutlon.
