A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND GRANT-
ING A ZONE VARWICE TO PERMIT THE EXTENSION
OF JUI EXISTING l-1!\1IIUFACTURING BUSINESS ON
PORTIONS OF ADJOINING PROPERTIES ON SPECIFIED
CONDITIONS.
r~EAS, pursuant to the provislons of Ordinanoe No.760 of
tbe Clty of Arcadia, adopted May 3, 1949, the Plannlng Commission
of sald City has consldered, tbe verlfled application of the owner
of certaln real property in sald Clty for a zone varlance affect-
ing the following described property in the Clty of Arcadla, to-wlt:
The East 40 fect of Lots 34, 35 and 36, Block 79,
Santa Anlta Tract, as sl\own on map recorded in Boolt
15, Pages 89 and 90, ~Uscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, being a 40 foot wido lot on the
South alde of St. Joseph St., located 95 ft. East
of Flrat Ave.
WHEREAS, tbe Clty Planning Commisslon upon conslderation of
sald application after pUblic hearing duly notlced and held as re-
qulrod by said OrdlnancEl No.760, and acting in an advlsory capacl ty
to the City Councll has made 1 ts findings and recommende. tions there-
nn under a certain Resolution No.78 entitled: "fA RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORlUA, RECOM-
MENDING THE GRANTING OF VARIANCE TO PERMIT THE ~ENSI ON OF AN
EXISTING MANUFACTURING BUSINESS ON PORTIONS OF ADJOINING PROPERTIES
ON SPECIFIED CONDITIONS. ", a true copy of vblch Is hereby attached
and made a part by reference the same as if hereln fully set forth,
Nml, THEREFORE, tbe City Council of the Clty of Arcadla does
hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the t'1ndings of the City Planning Commisslon
as set forth in thelr sald Resolutlon No.78 be and tbe same are
hereby accepted and approved 'and made the f1ndingsof this City
C01.Ulcll the S8lllll as If herein again set forth In full, and that
the recommendations of the City Plannlng Commisslon as set forth
In thelr sald Resolution No.78 are bereby accepted and approved
and that the a.foresa.id petitlon for varlance be and the same Is
hereby granted upon the terms and subject to the conditions and
restrlctions set forth in Resolutlon No.78 of the Plannlng Commission

of the Clty of Arcadia.
SECTION 2. Tha t a varlance Is hereby granted to permit
the use of the property herelnabove descrlbed to be used for the
erection and construction of a building for the purpose of stor-
log materlals and fabrlceting and manufacturing brushes for use
in connectlon 11lth the e~lsting buslness on the property adjacent
thereto, provlded and upon the express condltion that the rear
half of the subject property be set aslde for and developed as
off-street automoblle parklng space. This condltlon shall not
preclude the Olmer of sald proparty from restrlctlng the use of
sald lot to the employees and customers of the business conducted
thereon.
SECTION 3. The Clt;y Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption
of this Resolutlon.
I ~~EBY CERTIFY that the foregolng Resolutlon was adopted
et a regular meetlng of the City Councll of the Clty of i\.rcadll1,
held on the 5th dey of ~u~st 1952, by the affirmative vote
