HomeMy WebLinkAbout2291 RESOLUTION NO.2291 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA. CALIFORNIA. APPROVING AND GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A PUBLIC SCHOOL UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY IN SAID CITY. WHEREAS. pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No.760 of the City of Arcadia. the City Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia did on the lOth day of September 1952, adopt its certain Resolution No.84 whereby proceedings were instituted to hold a pUblic hearing for the consideration and possible granting of a zone variance affecting the follOWing described property, to-wit: The West 169.22 feet of the East 1370 feet, except of streets, of Lot 3. Tract No.950. as shown on map recorded in book 17, Page 25 of Maps, and Lots 1 to 12 inclusive, Tract No.11969, except of Flood Control Easement, as shown on map recorded in Book 259, Pages 36 and 37 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. to permit the same to be used for the construction, maintenance and operation of a public school; and ijHEREAS, after due notice as required by the provisions of Ordinance No.760 of the City of Arcadia, a public hearing was duly held on the matter by and before said Commission on the 23rd day of September 1952, at which time all interested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; and WHER~4S, after due consideration of the matter said Planning Commission acting in an advisory capacity to the City Council made certain findings and recommendations under its certain Re- solution No.92 entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COM- MISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE GRANT- ING OF A ZONE VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN saID CITY TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A PUBLIC SCHOOL THEREON.". a true copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference the same as if herein again fully set forth. NOW. THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, does hereby ~lnd, determine and resolve 6S follows: SECTION 1. That the findings of the said City Planning Com- mission as set forth in its said Resolution No.92 be and the sarna are hereby accepted and approved and made the findings of this -1- City Council 'the same as if herein set forth in full; that the recommendation of the said City Planning Commission as set forth in said Resolution No.92 be and the same is hereby accepted; that a variance be and the same is hereby granted to perini t the property hereinbefore described to be used for the construction, maintenance and operation of a public school. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the Oity Council held on the 5th day of November, 1952, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to-wit: AYES: r.ouncilmen Dow, Hulse, Kennett, Nottingham anc1 S"hu;(lr'c('!'
