A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNl&IL'OFTHE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING 'ANDPDIRECT"'
ING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A GRANT OF
EASEMENT ,TO THE PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH
COMPANY.
THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Upon the investigation and recommendation of the
City Manager, Assistant City Engineer and Building Official of the
City of Arcadia, that public convenience and necessity require the
granting of the easement hereinafter described, that the granting
of such easement will not be detrimental or injurious to the City
owned property involved, and that the easement hereinafter granted
is of nominal value only:
That portion of Longden Avenue (formerly Walnut Avenue)
sixty (60) feet wide vacated by a resolution of the Board
of Supervisors, Los Angeles County, on September 11, 1951,
as said resolution is recorded in Book 37194, Page 118 of
Official Records in the Office of the Recorder of Los
Angeles County, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Lot 148, said
tract; thence southerly along the easterly boundary of
said tract to a point on a curve concentric with and
thirty (30) feet northerly, measured radially, from that
certain curve in the center line of Longden Avenue shown
as having a radius of 1000 feet, on map of Tract No.15099,
recorded in Book 319, Pages 43 and 44, of said Maps; thence
westerly along said last described curve to its point of
tangency with the southerly line of said lot; thence easter-
ly in a direct line to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Arcadia, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
for and on behalf of the City of Arcadia in favor of the Pacific'
Telephone and Telegraph Company, a grant of easement for the purposes
and affecting a portion of Longden Avenue, as more particularly des-
cribed in grant of easementapproved'as to form by the City Attorney,
and to deliver the same to the grantee therein named without monetary
consideration.
SECTION 3. Th~ City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the
18th day of March 1952, by the affirmative vote of at

least three Councilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen Kennett, Klomp, Nottlngbam,Schmocker and
Sullivan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
