RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJACENT TO AND CONTIGUOUS
WITH THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, THE SAME BEING SITUATED NEAR THE
SOUTHWESTERLY PORTION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
WHEREAS, a petition in writing has been received by the
City Council of the City of Arcadia containing a description of
uninhabited territory lying contiguous to the territory contained
within the corporate boundaries of the City of Arcadia, Signed by the
owners of not less than one-fourth of the assessed value of such
territory, according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll
of the County of Los Angeles, requesting that said uninhabited
territory be annexed to, incorporated and included within the City
of Arcadia, all pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939, as amended; and
WHEREAS, said proposal for the annexation of said territory
to the City of Arcadia has been submitted to and reported upon to
the proponents by the Boundar~ Commission of the County of Los
Angeles with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed
boundaries, pursuant to Section 35002 of the Government Code of the
State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES
FIND AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the petition in writing for the annexation
of certain uninhabited territory hereinafter more particularly des-
cribed, lying contiguous to the territory contained within the
corporate boundaries of the City of Arcadia, was signed by the owners
of not less than one-fourth of the assessed value of such territory
according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the
County of Los Angeles; that said proposal for the annexation of
uninhabited territory to the City of Arcadia had theretofore been
submitted to and reported upon to the proponents by the Boundary
Commission of the County of Los Angeles with respect to the definite-
ness and certainty of the proposed boundary.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended, notice
is hereby given, that on

, 1952, at 8:00 o'Clock,
P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City of Arcadia, any person
owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed
and having any objection to the proposed annexation, may appear
before the City Council of said City of Arcadia and show cause why
such territory should not be so annexed.
That said territory shall be and the same is hereby
designated as West Arcadia Annexation No.7.
SECTION 3. That a specific description of the boundaries
of said territory so proposed to be annexed is as follows:
A parcel of land in the County of Los Angeles, State
of California including all of Lot 3 and portions of
Lots 2 and 4 of Santa Anita Land Company's Pumping
Plant No. 1 Tract, as per map recorded in Book 10,
Page 183, of Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as a whole as
follov's:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of said
Lot 2, distant northerly thereon 249.30 feet from
the southeasterly corner thereof; thence South 810
10' West 72.50 feet; , thence North 30 31' East 68
feet, more or less, to a point distant 20 feet
south, measured at right angles, from the north
line of said lot; thence east on a line parallel
with and distant 20 feet south from said north
line to the east line of the west 345 feet of said
Lot 2; thence northerly parallel with the westerly
line of said Lot 2 to the south line of said Lot 4;
thence along said south line to the east line of the
westerly 215 feet of said Lot 4; thence northerly
parallel with the west line of said Lot 4 to the
southerly line of the northerly 220 feet of said
Lot 4; thence easterly parallel with the north line
of said Lot 115 feet to the e'ast line of the west
330 feet of said Lot 4; thence northerly parallel
with the westerly line of said lot 220 feet to the
northerly line of said Lot 4; thence easterly along
said northerly line 80 feet, more or less, to the
westerly line of the easterly 115 feet of said lot
4; thence southerly parallel with the easterly line
of said Lot 4 to the northerly line of said Lot 3;
thence following the boundary lines of said Lot 3
easterly, southerly, and westerly to the most
easterly corner of said Lot 2; thence along the
easterly line of said Lot 2, South 30 31' West 23.40
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.

SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Arcadia shall
certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and shall cause a copy
of this Resolution to be published at least twice, but not oftener
than once a week, in the Arcadia BUlletin, a newspaper of general
circulation published in the City of Arcadia, and also in a newspaper
of general circulation published outside of the City of Arcadia but
in the County of Los Angeles, said publication to be complete at
least twenty days prior to the date set for the hearing; and the
City Clerk shall also cause written notice of such proposed annexa-
tion to be mailed to each person to whom land within the territory
proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized County
assessment roll available on the date the proceedings ~re initiated,
at the address shown on said assessment roll or as kno.m to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and the
designation of the lands in which he has any interest, either legal
or equitable, with said City Clerk, all as provided in Section 35311
of the Government Code of the State of California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 18th day of

at least three Councilmen, to wit:
