"PRIVATE GREENHOUSES", AS USED IN SECTION 5-A-2 OF ORDIN- JI.NCE NO. 760, OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, AND AMENDING RESOLUTION'NO.2234. THE, CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLL0'I-1S: \iHEREAS, ambiguity has arlsen and exists concerning the appropriate classlflcatlon of greenhouses withln the meaning and intent of Ordlnance No.760 of the City of Arcadia, Which ambigulty results largely from the use In Sectlon 5-A-2 of Ordinance NO.760 of the term "prlvate greenhouses", and from the indefiniteness and uncertain meroling of such phrase) and, WHEREAS, the Clty Planning 60mndssion has, on its own motion ascertained the facts concerning the use of ' greenhouses generally, and prlvate greenhouses in 'particular as distinguished from com- mercial greenhousesj and, WHEREAS, Section 15 of Ordinance NO.760 of sald City provldes in part that If ambiguity arlses concerning approprlate clesslflcation of a particular use within the meanlng and intent of thls Ordinance, it shall be the duty of the City Planning Commission to ascertain all pertinent facts concerning said use ,and by resolution of record set forth its flndings and the reasons therefor, and such findings and resolutions shall be referred to the City Council, and, If ap- proved by the Clty Council, thereafter such interpretatlons shall gi van; and, WHEREAS, theClty Planning Commisslon has on Its Orm motion ascertained the facts concerning the use of private greenhouses generally and prlvate greenhouses in particular as dlstinguished from commerdlal greenhouses; and, WHEREAS, the Clty Planning Comndsslon has by Its Resolutlon No.52 made certain findings and recommendatlons concer.nlng the term "prlvate greenhouses" as used in sald Ordinance No.760, and by its Rasolutlon No.67 has made additlonal findlngs and recommendatlons concerning the term "prlvate greenhouses" as llsed in said Ordlnancej NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arcadia does -1- ~ hereby find, determine and resolve as follows: S:EX:TION 1. That the findings and recommendations of the City Plannlng Commisslon of seld Clty contalned .in its said Re- solutlons Nos. 62 and 67, attached hereto and incorporated herein , , by reference, be and the same are hereby approved. S:EX:TI ON 2. Tha t from and after the date hereof the term "prlvste greenhouse", as used in Section 5-A-2 of Ordinance No.760 of the City of Arcadia, should mean and be limited to any green- house or a combination of greenhouses not ,exceeding 500 square feet in area on anyone lot or parcel of land; that any greenhouse or combination of greenhouses exceeding a total of 500 square feet on anyone lot or parcel of land shall be deemed to be and classi- fled as a use permissible in Zone C-2 under Section 9-A of sald Ordinance No.760. The term greenhouse as used In Ordinance No.760 should mean &,y structure of glass, wood, metal, cloth or other material and designed~ intended or used for the eultivat1o~, plant- lng, growth, propagation or protection of,plants or plant life. SECTION 3. The Clty Clerk shall eertifyto the adoptlon of this Resolution.
