HomeMy WebLinkAbout2151 RESOLUTION NO.2151 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND GRANTING A lDNE VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN 8AID CITY TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A. THREE-FAMILY DWELLING THEREON. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, pursuant to the prOVisions of Ordinance No.760 of the City of Arcadia, adopted May 3, 1949, the Planning Commisslon of said City has considered the verlfied application of Fred Sweemey as owner, for a zone variance on the followlng descrlbed property in the Clty of Arcadia, to-wit: A part of lot 5, Tract No.949, as shown on map record- ed in Book 17, Page 13 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beglnning South 380 33' West 835.51 feet and North 51027' West 307.71 feet from the most Easterly cor- ner of said lot 5; thence North 38033' East 60 feet; thence North 51027' West 193.80 feet to the South- easterly 11ne of Huntlngton Drlve; thence Southwest- erly thereon 60.33 feet; thence South 51027' East 200 feet to beginning, being a lot 60 feet wlde and approximately 200 feet deep, located at 180 W. Huntington Drive, to permit the conversion of the presently located dwelling thereon to a three-family dwelling, two apartments downstairs and one u~- stairs; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission after conslderation of such appllcation, and acting in an adVisory capacity to the Ci ty Council,. has made its findings and recommends tlons thereon under its oertaln Resolution No.48 entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RE- COMMENDING THE GRANTING OF A ZONE VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN 8AID CITY TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A THREE-FAMILY DWELLING THEREON. ", a true copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference the same as if herein fully set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Councl1 does hereby find, determine and resolvo as follows: SECTION 1. That the flndings of the City Planning Commission -1- ,.-. ~llOQi. as set forth in their said Resolution No.48 be and the same are hereby accepted and made the findings of this City Council the same as 'if l'1erein again specifically set forth in full; That the recommendations of the City Planning Commission as set forth in their said Resolution No.48 are hereby approved in full; That the petition of Fred Sweeney for a variance to permit the conversion of the presently located dwelling on the property described in said application and hereinbefore set forth, to a three-family dwelling, two apartments downstairs and one up- stairs, be and the same is hereby granted and approved, and that such a variance be and the same is hereby granted. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution .
