RESOLUTION NO.2189
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING CERTAIN INTER-
SECTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS AS STOP INTERSECTIONS
AND DIRECTING THE PLACING AND MAINTAINING OF STOP
SIGNS AT SAID INTERSECTIONS AND RESCINDING RE-
SOLUTION NO.1148.
The City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, does
hereby determine, resolve and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That upon the findings of the Ci ty Engineer
of the City of Arcadia, the folloving described intersections
of certain public streets in the City of Arcadia, under the ex-
clusive jurisdiction of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
are hereby designated as "Stop" intersections, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 37 of Ordinance No.728 of the
City of Arcadia, to-wit:
(a) For traffic entering Orange Grove Avenue from Oak
Meadow from the South,
(b)'For traffic entering Orange Grove Avenue from San
Carlos from the South;
(c),For traffic entering Orange Grove Avenue from Santa
'. Marguerita Road from the South;
(d) For traffic entering Baldwin AVenue from Gloria Road
from the East;
(e) For traffic entering Baldwin Avenue from Hampton
Road from the East;
(f) For traffic entering Baldwin Avenue from Arbolada
,Drive from the East;
(g) For traffio entering First Avenue from st. Joseph St.
from the East and from the West;
SECTION 2. The City Engineer of said City 1s authorized
and he is hereby directed to cause to be placed and maintained
Stop Signs at the following locations, to-Wit:
(a) Upon the Easterly side of Oak Meadow at or near the
Southerly line of Orange Grove Avenue;
(b) Upon the Easterly side of San Carlos at or near the
Southerly line of Orange Grove Avenue;
(c) Upon the Easterly side of Santa Marguerita Road at or
near the Southerly line of Orange Grove Avenue;
(d:) Upon the Northerly side of Gloria Road at or near
the Easterly line of Baldwin Avenue.

(e) Upon the Northerly side of Hampton Road at or near
the Easterly line of Baldwin Avenue;
(f) Upon the Northerly side of Arbrolada Drive at or near
the Easterly line of Baldwin Avenue;
(g) Upon the Northerly side of St. Joseph St. at or near
the Easterly side of First Avenue;
(h) Upon the Southerly side of St. Joseph St. at or near
the West side of First Avenue.
SECTION 3. Each of the signs so directed to be placed
and maintained shall conform with and shall be placed as provid-
ed in Section 471 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4. Resolution No.1l48 entitled: "A RESOLUTION
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DESIGNATING A PORTION
OF A CERTAIN STREET IN SAID CITY AS A THROUGH HIGHWAY, AND DIRECT-
ING THE PLACING AND MAINTAINING OF "STOP SIGNS" ON A CERTAIN
STREET INTERSECTING WI TH SAID THROUGH HI GHWAY. ", pas sed, approved
and adopted September 2, 1941, be and the same is hereby rescind-
ed and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to re-
move the Stqp Signs heretofore placed and maintained under and
pursuant and at the locations described in said Resolution No.
1148.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, held on the 6th day of November, 1951, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to-wit:
