A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA GRANTING CONSENT AND JURISDICP.ION
TO THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES FOR THE INCLUSION
OF CERTAIN CITY AREA. TO WIT: TIlE \'lFSTERLY
HALF OF BAIDJIN AVENUE BETI'lEEN THE CENTER IJNE
OF LEMON AVENUE AND THE CENTER IJNE OF GARIBAIDI
AVENUE. IN TIlE W\'lER AZUSA ROAD-SUNSET BOUlEVARD
SEI'IER MEINTENANCE DISTRICT PURSUANT TO afAPTER 26.
PART 3. DIVISION 7. OF THE STREETS AND HIGHl'TAYS
CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS. the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles is about to cOllllllence proceedings under Chapter 26. Part 3.
Division 7. of the Streets and Highvrays Code of the State of
California. for the annexation of certain territory to the Lower
Azusa Road~Sunset Boulevard Sewer Maintenance District. for the
purpose of operating. maintaining and repairing sanitary sEll'/ers
constructed. or to be constructed therein; and
\'lHEREAS. the proposed annexation will include within
its boundaries a portion of the City of Arcadia. to wit. the
l1esterly half of Baldwin Avenue be'b:reen the center line of Leman
Avenue and the center line of Garibaldi Avenue; and
WHEREAS. it appears in the public interest and con-
venience that said territory be annexed to said Maintenance
District.
Na'T. THEREFORE. be it resolved by the City Councll of
the City of Arcadia as follo;vs:
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
require the annexation of said City Territory to the Imrer Azusa
Road-8unset B9ulevard Sewer Maintenance District. all to the

extent and in the manner set forth in the proposed resolution
of intention of the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Los Angeles. a copy of which resolution, incomplete as to dates
and similar information 11hich can only be inserted at the time
of adoption. is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Sec. 2. That pursuant to the authority vested in it,
by virtue of Section 5823, Division 7, Part 3. O1apter 26, of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the City
Council. being the legislative booy of the City of ArCadia, hereby
consents to the annexation to said 1laintenance District and to the
inclusion of that portion of Baldlrin Avenue, as 1ndivated in said
proposed resolution of intention, lying wi thin the boundary of the
City of ArCadia. and to the exercise of exclusive jurisdiction by the
Board of Supery:l.sors over all proceedings necessary thereto for the
purpose of consUllDllating the same, ae provided in said Chapter 26,
Division 7, Part 3, of the streets and Highl7ay Code.
Sec. 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to transmit t:7o (2) certified copies of this resolution to the Clerk
of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles.

se~. 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this resolution by the City Council of the City of ArCadia, and shall
CBUse the same to be posted in three (3) conspicuous places in the
City of Arcadia, and it shall thereupon take effect.

the City Council of the City of Arcadia, at its meeting of

BE IT,RBSOLVED by tl1e Board of SupeTvisors of the CountJ of
Los AnGeles, State of california, as follows:
SECTION 1. It is hereby found and determined ihtit lateral or
collecting s~~itary sewers have been installed within the herein~

Angeles; that no provision has been otherwise made for the main"

Low~r AZUBQ Road~8~nset Bou1evA~n Sewer Maintenance District of
said County, formed Ootober 7. 19~7 , and last reestablished

SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require
