HomeMy WebLinkAbout2077 RESOLUTION NO. 2077 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, CREATING A CITIZENS' CO~mITTEE FOR THE STUDY OF. THE PROPOSED CITY CHARTER AND APPOINTING THE MEMBERS THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia has heretofore authorized the preparation of a proposed City Charter for the City of Arcadia and has employed special counsel for that purpose; and ~mEREAS, a draft of such proposed City Charter has been thus prepared and presented to the City Council for its consideration; and ~mEREAS, the adoption of such a Charter will directly affect all of the citizens of the City of Arcadia, for which reason the City Council is desirous of obtaini~g the assistance, advice and recommendations of the citizens of Arcadia so that the proposed Charter will, when adopted, be of the utmost benefit to the citizens of this City, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That there is hereby created a Citizens' Co~mittee for the study of the proposed City Charter of the City of Arcadia. SECTION 2. That the following persons are hereby appointed as representatives of said Committee: James C. Bone, E. L. Boucher, Walter G. Coombs, Joe E. Earll, Mrs. Chas. G. Ganther, Fred W. Griesinger, Floyd Henderson, L. M. Marzluft, W. H. Nesbitt, M. H. Ormsby, Sam Owens, A. H. Perkins, Roy Pike, Mrs. Conrad Reibold, James Sheldon Riley, Hal Roach, samuel I. Schaeffer, Mrs. John T. Simpson, Tom Sullivan, J~, Mrs. Helen G. Wallace, Verne Wickham. - 1 - ';' ~I ' ", \ SECTION 3. The purpose of said Committee is to study and discuss the proposed City Charter and to recommend alterations thereof, additions thereto and deletions therefrom, to the end that the final draft thereof to be submitted to the electorate of said City will be accurate, complete, and of the utmost benefit to all persons concerned. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 3rd day of October, 1950, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Sullivan, Vlonp, Kennett, Schmocker, Nottingham.
