HomeMy WebLinkAbout2091 RESOLUTION NO. 2091 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY TO PERMIT THE !~INTENANCE OF AN AUTOMOBILE PARKING LOT THEREON. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCft~IA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 760 , of the City of Areadia, adopted May 3, 1949, the Planning Commission I; of said City has considered the verified application of Ingegard Isakson as owner for a zone variance on the following described property to wit: Lots 17 and 18 and the west 22' of Lot 16, Tract No. 13252, in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Ange~s, State of California, as per Map recorded in Book 345, pages 6 to 8 of Maps in the office of the County Re- corder of Los P~ge1es County,: to permit the maintenance thereon of an automobile parking lot; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after consideration of " such application and acting in an advisory capacity to the City Council has made its findings and recommendations thereon under its certain Resolution No. 36 entitled, "A ~eso1ution of the~'City Plan- ning Commission of the City of Arcadia, California, reeommending the granting of a zone variance affecting certain real property located in said City to permit the maintenance of an automobile parking lot thereon", a true copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference the same as if herei,nagain fully set forth., NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby find, determine and resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That the findings of the City Planning Commis- sion as set forth in their said Resolution No. 36 be and the same are hereby adopted and made the findings of this City Council, the eame as if hereinagain specifically set forth in full; that the recommendations of the City Planning.Commission as set forth in -1.. U4.PEXE.O \ their said Resolution No. 36 are hereby approved in full; that the petition of Ingegard Isakson for a variance to permit the property described in said application and hereinabove to be used for an automobile parking lot be and the same is hereby granted and approved and such a varianee is hereby granted upon the follow- ing express terms and conditions: (a) That all regulations of the City of Arcadia appli- cable to parking lots be at all times complied with. (b) That a fence 3'feet in height be eonstructed and maintained at all times tb~oughout the existence of this variance, said fenee to be 3' back from the front property line and extending without interruption of any kind by gate~ or otherwise from the easterly line to the westerly line along Christina street. (c) That no entrance to said parking lot shall be allowed from Christina Street. (d) That no charge shall be made for the privilege of parking thereon. (e) That the 3' strip along Christina Street between the property line and the fence hereinabove required shall be land- scaped and planted with shrubbery of the variety and type sufficient to coneeal at least the fence from view from Christina Street. (f) That walls be constructed and maintained along the easterly and westerly lines of the property thus described in con- formity with the requirements of Section 15 of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia. (g) That violation of any of the aforesaid conditions shall be ground for the cancellation of the variance hereby recom- mended. SECTION 2.
