A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND ADOPT- ING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COM- MISS ION OF SAID CITY, RECOMMENDING THE GRANT- ING OF A VARIANCE AFFECTING CERTAIN REAL PRO- PERTY LOCATED AT 82 WES'!! LAS TUNAS DRIVE, IN SAID CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, onfue fifth day of January, 1950, there was filed with the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia the petition of Herbert Kalliwoda, requesting a zoning variance on the following described property, in the City of Arcadia, to wit: The westerly 75 feet of that portion of Lot 69, Santa Anita Colony, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, page I 87, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, lying southerly or Las Tunas Drive, and being located at 82 West Las Tunas Drive, to permit the operation of a rental yard for light home equipment; and WHEREAS, the property is now located in a commercial zone, to wit, C-2 zone; and iVHEREAS, after notice as reqUired by the provisions of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, a public hearing was held before the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, on the 2nd day of February, 1950, and all interested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Planning Commission, the maintenance and operation of a rental yard for light home equipment in the commercial zone in which said property is located would not be detrimental to the public welfare nor injurious to the surround- ing property, and would not adversely affect the comprehensive 1. ,,,,'Oil ,,,0"- general plan of the City of Arcadia, under certain conditions; VffiEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia did recommend in its Resolution No. 23, dated the 2nd of March, 1950, that the aforesaid petition be approved and granted, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the aforementioned property be suitably fenced; 2. That a suitable building, approximately twenty feet by twenty-four feet (201 x 241) be constructed on said property and maintained thereon for the storage and housing of small tools; 3. That no track-laying tractors or dump trucks be kept, rented, handled or used upon the premises; 4. That any trailers rented shall be no greater than twelve (121) feet in length; 5. That no repair work, other than incidental repairs to equipment rented thereon, shall be done or performed; 6. That any variance granted by the City Council shall be limited to a period of three years on and after the effective date of the Resnmnmn granting such variance. AND, VrnEREAS, the aforesaid Resolution No. 23 of the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, was adopted by said Commission on March 2nd, 1950; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby approve and adopt the foregoing recommendations of the Planning Commission, as set forth in said Resolution No. 23 of said Planning Commission, and does hereby grant to petitioner the request for a zoning variance heretofore described. SECTION 3.
