RESOLUTION NO. 2004.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA VACATING CERTAIN EASE-
MENTS AND THE RIGHT TO LAY, PLACE, OR
INSTALL AND ~~INTAIN PUBLIC UTILITIES
AND, SEWER LINES IN CERTAIN STREETS HERE-
TOFORE VACATED AND ABANDONED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES ORDER, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS by the provisions of Ordinance No.
764 of the City of Arcadia, entitled "An Ordinance of the City
Council of the City of Arcadia, ordering the vacation and abandon-
ment of that certain street known as Historia Road and portions of
those certain public streets in said City known as La Rosa Road
(formerly known as Elma Road), paloma Drive, encanto Drive, and
Panorama Drive, all such streets being in Tract No. 14428 in said
City of Arcadia," adopted May 17, 1949, it was ordained that, in
pursuance to Resolution of Intention No. 1846, all of that cer-
tain public street in said City known as Historia Road, and all
of those portions of those certain public streets in said City
known as La Rosa Road (formerly known as Elma Road), Paloma Drive,
Encanto Drive and Panorama Drive, all of such streets and portions
of streets being located in Tract No. 14428 in said City, as shown
on Map recorded in Book 305, Pages 37 and 38 of Maps, Records of
Los Angeles County, and more particularly described as follows:
FIRST: Historia Road from the southerly line of Monte
Verde Drive to its intersection with Panorama Drive.
SECOND: La Rosa Road (formerly known as Elma Road) from
the easterly line of Historia Road to a line joining the
southwest corner of Lot 27 and the northwest corner of
lot 38 of said Tract.
THIRD: Paloma Drive from the easterly line of Michil-
linda Avenue to a line joining the southwest corner of

Lot 41 and the northwest corner of Lot 52 of said Tract.
FOURTH: Encanto Drive from the easterly line of Historia
~oad to a line joining the southwest corner of Lot 55
and the northwest corner of Lot 66 of said Tract.
FIFTH: Panorama Drive from its intersection with Historia
~oad to a line joining the southwest corner of Lot 69
and the northwest corner of Lot 81 of said Tract,
be vacated and abandoned for street purposes as contemplated by Re-
solution of Intention No. 1846, adopted and approved on March 15,
1949, reserving, however, to the City of Arcadia, the right to lay,
place or install and maintain public utilities and sewer lines in
said streets; and
WHEREAS, the easements therein referred to and the right
to lay, place or install and maintain pUblic utilities and sewer
lines as aforesaid have not been used for five years next preceding
the date of this resolution, or at any time whatsoever, for the
purpose for which they were dedicated or acquired, and
WHEREAS, such easements or rights are unnecessary for
present or prospective public use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the
aforesaid easements and the right to lay, place, or install and
maintain pUblic utilities and sewer lines as hereinbefore described
and set forth be and the same are hereby vacated and abandoned,
pursuant to the provisions of Sections 50443, 50444 and 50445 of
the Government Code of the State of California.

SECTION 2. The City/is hereby authorized and empowered
to cause a certified copy of this order, attested by him under seal,
to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
being the County within which the properties hereinabove described,
and each of them, are situated.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopt-
ed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on the 7th day of March, 1950, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to wit:
