A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIEORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CHANGE AND ELIMINATE SET- BACK LINES ON PORTIONS OF ALICE STREET, A PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA 'DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia has recommended to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that existing setback lines be eliminated on portions of Alice street, being a public street in the City of Arcadia, here- . inafter described in this Resolution. SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to eliminate existing setback lines upon portions of A~ice Street in the City of Arcadia, to wit: the setback lines pre- viously established at twenty-five (25') feet over and upon Lots 7 and 8 of Block One (1) in Tract No. 101, as per map recorded in book 13, page 52 of Maps, Records in the Office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, being upon the North side of Alice Street, aforesaid, and East of Santa Anita Avenue, in said City of Arcadia. SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 2nd day of May, 1950, at 8 O'clock P.M., of said day, in the Council Cham- ber in the 'City Hall of the City of Arcadia, any and all persons having any objection to the proposed elimination of the above- described setback lines may appear before said City Council and show cause why said setback lines should not be eliminated, in accordance with this Resolution. 1. i.~ '" . , SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall post, or cause to be posted, along said portion of said street, along which it is proposed to change and eliminate said setback lines, at not more than three hundred (300') feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all, notices of the passage of this Resolution. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be pUblished once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, pub- lished and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby designated for that purpose. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 18th day of April, 1950, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Kennett, Klomp, Nottingham, Schmocker and Sulli van NOES: None ABSENT: None SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 18th day of April, C a ATTEST: ~L~. / City Clerk.
