RESOLUTION OF IIfrENTION - NO. 2039
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
CHANGE AND RE-ESTABLISH SET-BACK LINES ON POR-
TIONS OF SIERRA IMDRE BOULEVARD, A PUBLIC STREET
IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Arcadia has recommended to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that
the existing setback lines be changed and re-established on portions
of Sierra Madre Boulevard, hereinafter described in this Resolution;
SECTION 2: That the public interest and convenience require and
it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to change
the existing setback lines upon portions of Sierra Madre Boulevard, a
public street in the City of Arcadia, as follows, to wit: The setback
lines previously established at fifty (50) feet over and upon all lots
or parcels of land lying and being upon the north side of Sierra Madre
Boulevard, aforesaid, and between the westerly line of Santa Anita
Avenue in said City and the westerly boundary or limits of said City,
be changed and re-established at sixty (60) feet from the center line
of said Sierra Madre Boulevard.
SECTION 3: Notice is hereby given that on the 5th day of
July, 1950, at the hour of 8 O'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Arcadia, any and all persons
having any objection to the proposed change and re-establishment of the
above-described setback lines may appear before said City Council and
show cause why said setback lines should not be changed and re-establish-
ed in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 4: The Superintendent of Streets shall post, or cause
to be posted, along said portion of said street, along which it is
proposed to change and re-establish setback lines, at not more than
three hundred (300') feet in distanceapart, but not less than three (3)

SECTION 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once
in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, pUb-
lished and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby designated
for that purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held
on the 7th day of June, 1950, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Kennett, Klomp, Nottingham, Schmocker and
Sullivan
