HomeMy WebLinkAbout2042 RESOLUTION NO. 2042 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA APPOINTING THE LAW FIRM OF BURKE, MARSHALL & BURKE CITY ATTORNEY FOR SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of Arcadia does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That effective as of June 15, 1950, the law I firm of Burke, Marshall & Burke be and it is hereby appointed and employed as City Attorney of the City of Arcadia, to serve in such capacity at the pleasure of the City Council. SECTION 2. That said appointee shall receive as compensa~ \ tion for its services the sum of $450.00 per month, payable monthly. That said appointee shall be paid additional compensa- tion for services rendered by it for the preparation of any municipal bond proceedings, for services rendered in actions in court (other than for handling matters in the City Court of the City of Arcadia), for appearances and hearings before adminis- trative boards and commissions other than City boards and com- ~ ~iOmlssions and for proceedings taken under any of the statutory ,\~s>'il 'Y ~,\\\)' improvement acts. Such additional compensation shall be in an ~. amount commensurate wi th t he value of the services rendered and in all cases shall be subject to the approval of the City Council. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to' the adoption of this Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Arcadia at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 10th day of June, 1950.
