HomeMy WebLinkAbout1806 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1806 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, DECLARING I'rS INTENTION TO ABANDON EASEMENT FOR DRAINAGE OF STREET WATER FROM NOR1~ AVENUE IN TRACT NO. l4339 IN SAID CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMI"E, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, an easement for the purpose 0 f the drainage of street water from Norman Avenue in Tract No. 14339 in said City of Arcadia has been acquired by the City of Arcadia covering the following described real property situ~te within the corporate limits of said City by deed recorded in Book 24742, page 246, of the official Records of the County of Los Angeles, towit: An easement over the East 30 feet of the South 195 feet of Lot 122, and the East 30 feet of Lot 123, Arcadia Acreage Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10, page 18 of maps, records of Los Angeles County, in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles, County. S~CTION 2. That this Councilfinds that said easement is not necessary for present or prospective public use for the purposes for which it was Ilcquired. SECTION 3. That the public interest and convenience require and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to vacate and abandon said easement, a map or plan of the proposed vacation being on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City to which map or plan reference is hereby made for particulars as to the proposed vacation. SECTION 4. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, Octoher 5, 1948, at 8:00 O'clock P.M., of said day, in the Council Chamber of the City Council in the City Hall of the said'City of Arcadia any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear and be heard by said City Council and show cause why s aid easement should not be vacated and abandoned in accordance with this Resolution. SECTION 5. The Superintendent of streets shall post or caused to be posted conspicuously along the line of the easement proposed to be vacated at not more than three hundred feet (300') in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all, notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention. ,~D~ SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby designated for that purpose.
