HomeMy WebLinkAbout1807 ., RESOLUTION NO. 1807 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DESIGNATING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS IN SAID CITY AS, THROUGH HIGHWAYS AND DIRECTING THE PLACING ~~D MAINTAINING OF "STOP SIGNS" ON CERTAIN ALLEYS INTERSECTING WITH SAID THROUGH HIGHWAYS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the following described portions of certain public streets in the City of Arcadia are hereby designated as through high- ways in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 200 of the City of Arcadia, towit: (a) Baldwin Avenue at its intersection with the dedicated alley extending and~entering into Baldwin Avenue approximately midway between Duarte Road and Naomi Avenue on the easterly side of Baldwin Avenue; (b) DUarte Road at its intersection with the dedicated alley extending and entering into Duarte Road approximately one hundred feet east of ~he easterly line of Baldwin Avenue and on the southerly side of Duarte Road. SECTION 2. The Chief of Police of said city is authorized and is hereby directed to cause to be placed and maintained "stop Signs" at the following locations, towit: (a) Upon the easterly side of Baldwin Avenue at or near the northerly property line of the dedicated alley extending and entering into said Baldwin Avenue approximately midway between Duarte Road and Naomi Avenue; (b) Upon the southerly side of Duarte Road at or near the easterly property line of the dedicated 'alley extending and entering into said Duarte Road approxi- mately one hundred feet east of the easterly property line of Baldwin Avenue. SECTION 3. Each of the signs so directed to be placed, and main- tained shall conform to the requirements of Section 23 of Ordinance No. 200 of the City of Arcadia and of Section 471 of the Vehic~e Code of the State of California. SECTION 4.
