RESOLUTION NO. 1809
A RESOLUTiON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, PROVIDHG FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A "MUNICI-
PAL HOSPITAL FUND".
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY DETERMINE,
ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require, and
this Council orders and directs, that one-half the net proceeds for the
fiscal year ~947-48 of the admissions tax heretofore levied upon and
collected from the patrons of horse-racing meets in the City of Arcadia,
under and by virtue of the provisions of Ordinance No. 612, of the City
of Arcadia, adopted November, 19, 1946, as amended by Ordinance No. 678,
of the City of Arcadia, adopted October 21, 1947, shall be transferred to
a new fund denominated and designat ed as "Municipal Hospital Fund", into
which shall be transferred forthwith the aforesaid one-half of the net
proceeds to date of such admissions tax, together with one-half of the
net proceeds of such admissions tax hereafter to be collected, the moneys
so collected and deposited as atoresaid in such "Municipal Hospital Fund"
to be used in the discretion of the City Council for the purpose of es-
tablishing and maintaining a suitable munici~al hospital in accordance with
and subject to the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, being
Deering's Act 5233 of the General Laws of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That the City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered,
and directed to make such transfer of moneys forthwith.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the
5th day of October, 1948, by the affirmative vote of at least three
Councilmen, towit:
