ORDERING THE FOR1ffiTION OF A LIGHTING 1ffiINTENANCE DISTRICT DESIGNATED AS "LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO.2''', WHICH DISTRICT IS TO PAY THE COST PND EXPENSES FOR THE MAIN- TENANCE AND OPERATION OF A STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM NOW IN- STALLED ON PORTIONS OF SANTA ANITA AVENUE, OAKliOOD AVENUE, WILSON AVENUE AND VIRGINIA DRIVE IN SAID CITY. THE CITY COU::iCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of Resolution of Intentton No. 1841, and after a public hearing thereon in conformity with the provisions of the IJunicipal Lighting Maintenance District Act of 1927. being Division l~, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, it is hereby ordered that a light maintenance district be and the same is hereby formed, and that the boundaries of such Itghting maintenance district. which district is to pay the cost and expenses for the maintenance and operation of a street lighting system now installed on portions of Santa Anita Avenue, Oakwood Avenue, Wilson Avenue, and Virginia Drive in the City of Arcadia, shall be and the same are hereby finally established in conformance with, and as shown on, that certain map entitled "Diagram of Lighting Maintenance District No.2" heretofore prepared by the City Engineer, approved and adopted by Reso- lution No. 1840 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, and on file in the office of t he City Clerk. SECTION 2. That the items of maintenance and operation of the afore- said street lighting system agreed to be furnished and their estimated cos t for the first year are as follows: electric power, repairs, re- placements, labor, materials. en3ineering, printing, and advertising; the estimated amount of electric power necessary for said system for each year is sixteen thousand seventy seven (16077) kilowatt hours, and the estimated cost of said electric power for the first year is the sum of $271.44, and the estimated cost of all other items of maintenance and operation for the first year is the sum of $705.44. That those item5 hereinabove enumerated shall be furnished from time to time as necessary. -1- SECTION 3. That the percentage of the total expenses of the aforesaid maintenance and operation to be paid by the aforesaid district, as set forth in Resolution No. 1841 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, shall be paid by special assessment taxes levied upon all the lands. exclusive of improvements, within said district. SECTION 4. That fifty per cent (50%) of t he total expenses of maintenance and operation shall be paid by the district and fifty per cent (50%) thereof shall be paid out of the treasury of the City of Arcadia from the General Fund of said City. SECTION 5. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be filed with the Assessor who makes the assessment for general City taxes, and thereafter the assessor in making up the City assessment roll shall segregate the property included within the district, hereby ordered formed, on the assessment roll under the district designation contained in the resolution, towit: "Lighting Maintenance District No.2". SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 5th dayror April, 1949, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, towit: AYES . .
