HomeMy WebLinkAbout1862 RESOLUTION NO. 1862 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DESIGNATING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS I~ SAID CITY AS THROUGH HIGHWAYS M~D DIRECTING THE PLACING AND MAINTAINL,G OF "STOP SIGNS" ON A CERTAIN PRIVATE ROADWAY INTERSECTING WITH SAID THROUGH HIGHVfAYS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the following described portions of certain public streets in the City of Arcadia are hereby designated as through hieh- ways in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 728 of the City of Arcadia, towit: (a) Huntington Drive at its intersection with that certain roadway extending and entering into Huntington Drive from the premises of the City Hall at 240 West Huntington Drive, on the easterly side of Huntington Drive. SECTION 2. The Chief of Police of s aid City is authorized and is hereby directed to cause to be placed and maintai ned a "Stop Sign" at the following location, towit: (a) Upon the easterly side of Huntington Drive at or near the northerly property line of the aforesaid roadway extending and entering into said Huntington Drive. SECTION 3. The sign so directed to be placed, and maintained shall conform to the requirements of Section 37 of Ordinance No. 728 of the City of Arcadia and of Section 471 of the Vehicle Code of t he State of California. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held -1- 1NDliX.;!) on the 19th day of April, 1949, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, towit: AYES . .
