HomeMy WebLinkAbout1873 RESOLUTION NO. l873 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIF- ORNIA, REQUESTING FROM THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, this Council deems it necessary that the rollow- ing described portions or a certain public street in the City of Arcadia, to wit, Second Avenue, a secondary ~ajor highway extending north and south in the City of Arcadia, from Foothill Boulevard southerly to Live Oak Avenue and thence south into County territory, be improved by resurracing using pre-mix pavement, and WHEREAS" the County of Los Angeles has available for use by the City of Arcadia certain gasoline tax runds for the improvement of highways of secondary importance: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be and they are hereby requested to appropriate from said gasoline tax runds the sum of Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00) for the purpose or improving the following described portions of certain public streets in the City of Arcadia, to wit: Resurfacing Second Avenue from Camino Rea1 to Live Oak Avenue, using approximately 1500 tons or pre-mix pavement Total $7,000.00 SECTION 2:. The City Clerk shall certHy to the adoption of this resolution.
