A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, DETERMINING THE NATURE, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE SIDE\VALKS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF A PORTION OF DIA- MOND STREET IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA, DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OR EXTEI~ OF THE DISTRICT OR LA}IDS TO BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED TO PAY THE COST THEREOF AND DETERMINING THE STATUTE UNDER WHICH SAID PRO- 'CEEDINGS SHALL BE CO]{DUCTED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the public interest, convenience and necessity require that concrete sidewalks be constructed upon and along the South side of a portion of Diamond Street in said City. SECTION 2. That pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated as the Special Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Division 4 of the Streets and Highways COde, it is hereby determined that the nature, location and extent of the p~oposed concrete sidewalks shall be in accordance with plans heretofore prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Arcadia and which are shown on Plan No. C-184, which were on the first day of November, 1949, filed with the City Clerk of the City of Arcadia and reference is hereby made to said plans so filed for all particulars relative to the nature, location and ex- tent of said proposed improvement, and it is hereby ordered that said plans be made open to the inspection of any person or persons desiring to inspec~ the same. SECTION 3. That the district to be specially assessed to pay the cost of said improvement shall include all that portion of the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, state 1. '\'lOEJ'.EO of California, shown on map of Assessment District No. W-56 in- eluded within the colored boundary line, which said map was, on the first day of November, 1949, filed with said Clerk and which said map shall govern for all details as to the extent of said Assessment District. SECTION 4. It is hereby determined that the proposed improvement and all proceedings for the issuance and payment of street Improvement Bonds representing assessments for the cost thereof, and provisions for all other acts necessary to conduct the proposed proceedings shall be conducted under the provisions of an act of the Legislature of the state of California designated as the Improvement Act of 1911, being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, held on the first day of November, 1949, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Boucher, Klomp, Nugent and Russell NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Libby ~L~ ' City Clerk of the Ci~adia.
