RESOLUTION NO. 1945.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING FROM THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX FUNDS FOR THE
IMPROVE~iliNT OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS IN SAID
CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COffiiCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES DETERMIrill,
ORDER A1~ RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. \VHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
Arcadia deems it necessary that the following described por-
tions of certain public streets in the City of Arcadia, to wit,
Live Oak Avenue at its intersection with Las Tunas Drive, and
at its intersection with Santa Anita Avenue (Double Drive),
be improved by the installation of traffic control signals,
and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has
available for use by the City of Arcadia certain gasoline
tax funds for the improvement of such highways;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be, and they
are hereby requested to appropriate from s aid gasoline tax
funds the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the
purpose of improving the following described public streets
in the City of Arcadia, to wit: Las Tunas Drive at its
intersection with Live Oak Avenue and Santa Anita Avenue
(Double Drive) at its intersection with Live Oak Avenue,
by the installation of traffic control signals and work ap-
pur tenant thereto.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Arcadia, held on the 15th day of November, 1949, by the
affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Boucher, Klomp, Nugent and Russell
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Libby
