RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1974.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, DECLARING ITS INTE}~ION TO CHANGE SET-
BACK LI~illS ON A PORTION OF DUARTE ROAD, A PUBLIC
STREET IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That an application has heretofore been filed
with the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, requesting
a change in the hereinafter described set back lines, and that
said Planning Commission has made recommendation to the City
Council of the City of Arcadia that the said set back lines be
changed in accordance with said application and as described
in this resolution.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience re-
quire and it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Arcadia, to change and eliminate set back lines on the fol-
lowing described portions of Duarte Road, to wit:
Set-back lines along the South side of Duarte Road,
distant fifty (50) feet Southerly from and parallel with the
center line of said Duarte Road, between, and extending over
and up6n the Westerly 20.5 feet only of the Easterly 101.5 feet
of Lot one (1), Tract No. 6925, as per map recorded in Book 74,
Page 79 of Maps, records in the Office of the County Recorder
of Los Angeles County, heretofore established by the provisions
of Ordinance No. 676 of the City of Arcadia, adopted December
21, 1947.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday the
7th day of February, 1950, at 8:00 olclock P.M. of said day,
in the Council Chamber of said City Council, in the City Hall
of said City of Arcadia, any and all persons having objections
to the elimination of said set-back lines may appear before

said City Council and show cause why said set-back lines should
not be changed and eliminated in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall post
or cause to be posted along the portions of said street along
which it is proposed to change and eliminate said set-back lines,
at not more than three hundred (300) fe~t in distance apart, but
not less than three (3) in all, notices of the passage of this
Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published
once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general cir~ulation,
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby
designated for that purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Inten-
tion was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Arcadia, held on the 3rd day of January, 1950, by
the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
