RESOLUTION NO. 1981.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING '1'0 REIff CONTROL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the attached petition to decontrol
rents in the City of Arcadia was filed with the City Council of
Arcadia, and
VffiEREAS, such petition, on its face, recited
facts sufficient to require the City Council of the City of Ar-
cadia to call a public hearing to consider decontrolling rents;
and
V~EAS, the attached notice of the date,
time, place and purpose of such public hearing was published three
times in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, in the issues of
December 24 and 31, 1949, and January 7, 1950, respectively; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia held a public
hearing on January 17, 1950, at the time and place for the pur-
pose set forth in such notice of publication; and
WHEREAS, at such public hearing all inter-
ested persons were given a reasonable opportunity to be heard,
with the right to be represented by counsel; and
WHEREAS, a transcript of the record of such
public hearing, the exhibits introduced at said hearing, and the
petition to decontrol rents, comprise the entire record upon
which this finding and resolution are based; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, having duly considered all of the evidence presented at
such hearing and taken the same under advisement; now, therefore,

SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Arcadia
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
That there no longer exists in the City of Arcadia such
a shortage of rental housing accomodations as to require rent
control in said City;
That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy
of t~is Resolution, together with the petition to decontrol rents,
a transcript of the record of said public hearing, and the exhi-
bits introduced at said hearing, to Honorable Earl Warren, Gover-
nor of the State of California.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meet-
ing of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, on February 7,
1950, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Boucher, Klomp, Nugent and Russell
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Libby
Signed and approved the seventh day of February, 1950.
