RESOLUTION NO. 1996.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T"rlE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING
OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN SAID CITY ON THE
11TH DAY OF APRIL, 1950, DESIGNATING THE OFFICES TO
BE FILLED AT SAID ELECTION: PROVIDING FORTHE POLL-
ING PLACES FOR THE HOLDING OF SUCH AN ELECTION, AP-
.POINTING THE ELECTIONS OFFICERS FOR THE SAME AND
FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a general municipal election be and the
same is hereby called to be held in the City of Arcadia, State
I{~ of California, on Tuesday the 11th day of April, 1950, for the 1
following purposes:
1. For the purpose of electing the following officers,
to wit: Three (3) members of the City Council of said City of
Arcadia to hold office for the full term or period of four (4)
years from and after the 11th day of April, 1950.
SECTION 2. That for'the purpose of holding said election
there shall be and are hereby established fourteen (14) election
precincts designated as hereinafter stated. That the polling
places for the respective precincts shall be the places herein-
after designated, and that the persons hereinafter named, being
competent and qualified electors and residents of said City, and
of their respective election precincts are hereby appointed of-
ricers of election for their respective election precincts, and
they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the
manner provided by law.
Voting Precinct A, comprising state and county precincts
Nos. 1, 14 and 29, and the polling place shall be at Morant's
residence, 74 W. Woodland Lane.

SECTION 3. That the polls for s aid election shall be opened
at 7:00 o'clock A.M. on the day of said election and shall remain
open continuously from said time until 7:00 o'clock P.M. of the
said day.
SECTION 4. That said general municipal election shall be
held in accordance with the provisions of the Election Code of the
State of California pertaining to cities of the sixth class, and with
the General Election Laws of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That the compensation to be paid to each of the
said officers of election for all services by each of s aid officers
to be rendered at said general election shall be and the same is
hereby fixed at the sum of ten dollars ($10.00).
SECTION 6. That said City Council will meet in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall on Tuesday, April 18, 1950, at the hour
of 8:00 o'clock P.M. to canvass thereturns of said election and de-
clare the results thereof.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted

at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City of Arcadia,
held on the 21st day of February, 1950, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
