RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1998
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ESTABLISH SETBACK
LINES ON A PORTION OF CERTAIN STREETS, TO WIT, SUNSET
BOULEVARD, CORTEZ ROAD, AND PORTOLA DRIVE, IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOL-
LOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission of the City of Ar-
cadia has reco~~ended to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that
setback lines be established on portions of the streets hereinafter
described in this Resolution.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require
and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to
establish setback lines upon the following described streets in said City:
(a) A setback line distant ten (10) feet easterly from and
parallel to the easterly line of Sunset Boulevard, from Hunt-
ington Drive to Balboa Drive;
(b) A setback line distant ten (10) feet westerly from and
parallel to the westerly line of Cortez Road, from Huntington
Drive to Portola Drive;
(c) A setback line distant ten (10) feet southerly from and
parallel to the Southerly line of Portola Drive, from Sunset
Boulevard to Cortez Road.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 21st day of
March, 1950, at 8:00 O'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council Chamber
of said City Council in the City Hall of said City of Arcadia, any and
all persons having any objections to said proposed setback lines may
appear before said City Council and show cause why said proposed setback
lines should not be established in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution to be
published once in the Arcadia Bulletin, a newspaper of general circula-
tion published and circulated in the City of Arcadia and hereby desig-
nated for that purpose. The Superintendent of Streets shall post, or

cause to be posted along such portions of said streets along which
it is proposed to fix and establish said setback lines, at not more
than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than
three (3) in all, notices of the passage of this Resolution of In-
tention.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on the 21st day of February, 1950, by the affirmative vote of
at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Boucher, Klomp, Nugent and Russell
NOES: None
