RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1709
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CHANGE SET-
BACK LINES ON A PORTION OF EL MONTE AVENUE. A
PUBLIC STREET IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOVIS::
SECTION 1. That an application has heretofore been
filed with the Planning Commission of the CIty of Arcadia.
requesting a change in the hereinafter described set back
lines. and that said Planning Commission has made recom-
mendation to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that
the said set back lines be changed in accordance with
saId application and as described in this resolution.
SECTION 2. That the publIC interest and convenience
requIre and it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Arcadia to change set back lines on the
following described portions ot El Monte Avenue. a public
street in sa.id City of Arcadia. and re-establish said set
back lines as follows:'
Upon the South 175.55 feet of Lot 20, tract No. 10994,
e~cept the Westerly. 35 feet thereof. as shown on map recorded
in Book 197. page 4~ of maps. records of Los Angeles County,
the set-back lines shall be changed frOM forty (40) feet and
re-established at twenty (20): feet.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday
the 4th day of NoveMber. 194'W, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., of said
day. in the Council Chamber of said City CounCil, in th~
City Hall of said City of Arcadia. any and all persons having
objections to said proposed setback lines May appear before
said City Council and show cause why said proposed setback
lines should not be changed in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall post

or cause to be posted along the portions of said street
along which it is proposed to change and re-establish
said setback lines, at not more than three hundred (300')
feet in distance apart. but not less than three (3) in all.
notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention.
~ION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution. and shall cause the same to
be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News.
a newspaper of general circulation. published and cir-
culated in the City of ArcadIa. and hereby designated for
that purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of
Intention was adopted at a regular Meeting of the City
Council of the City of Arcadia. held on the 7th day of
October. 1947. by the affirmative vote of at least three
Councilmen, to wit:

ABSENT: None
