RESOLUTION NO. l740
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CHANGE OR
MODIFY THE GRADE OF A PORTION OF COLORADO BOUL-
EVARD IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA, AND SETTING FORTH
THE CHANGE OR MODIFICATION OF GRADE PROPOSED TO
BE MADE.
THE CIl'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIF-
ORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. That the public interest and convenience
require, and it is the intention of the city Council of
the City of Arcadia to order the following change or mod-
ification of grade in the following described public street
in the City of Arcadia, to-wit:
That the grade of Colorado Boulevard at or near its
intersection with that certain drainage channel commonly
known as "Santa Anita Wash" be changed or modified as ShOllffi
on that certain plan prepared by the City Engineer and ap-
proved by the City Council of the City of Arcadia on January
20, 1948, which said plan is on file in the office of the
City Engineer of the City of Arcadia, designated as Plan
B-2-68, and which plan is by reference thereto made a part
of this Resolution, ~~d is available for inspection in the
office of the City Engineer of said City.
SECTION 2. All of the proceedings of the aforesaid
change or modification of grade in said street shall be had
and taken under and in accordance with the provisions of an
Act of the Legislature of the State of California, known
and designated as the Change of Grade Act of 1909, being
Division 9, Part 1, Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of said City of Arcadia is:
hereby directEld to post conspicuously for two days on or
near the Council Chamber door of said City Council, in the

manner and form required by law, a true copy of this Resol-
ution; the Arcadia Tribune and News, a weekly newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in said City
of Arcadia, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which
the Resolution of Intention shall be pUblished, in the man-
ner and form as required by law. The City Clerk is hereby
directed to publish twice in said newspaper designated as
aforesaid. this Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 4. The Street Superintendent shall post. or
cause to be posted conspicuously along each of said streets
or portions thereof where such change or modification of
grades is proposed to be made, as provided in this Resolution
of Intention, at not more than One Hundred (100) feetin dis-
tance ap~t, notices, but not less than three (3) in all,
of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner
and form required by law. The Street Superintendent shall
also cause a notice similar in substance to be published by
two insertions in the Arcadia Tribune and News, designated
published and circulated as aforesaid.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on the 2)th day of January, 1948, by the affirmative vote
of at least three CounCilmen, to-wit:
