RESOLUTION NO.1753
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, PROVID-
ING FOR THE HOl~ING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN SAID CITY ON
THE }3TH DAY OF APRIL, 1948) DESIGNATING THE OFFICES TO BE FILLED AT
SAID ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR THE POLLING PLACES FOR THE HOLDING OF
SUCH AN ELECTION, APPOINTING THE ELECTIONS OFFICERS FOR THE SAME AND
FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a general municipal election be and the same
is hereby calle,i to be held in the City of Arcadia, State of California,

on Tuesday the 13th day of April, 1948, for the following purposes:
1. For the purpose of electing the following officers to wit:
(a) Two (2) members of the City Council of said City of
Arcadia to hold office for the full term or period of four (4) years
from and after the 13th day of April, 1948;
(b) One (1) member of the City Council of said City of
Arcadia to hold office for the unexpired term or period of two (2)
years from and f~fter the 13th day of April, 1948;
(c) A City Clerk of the City of Arcadia to hold office for
the full term or period of four (4) years from and after the 13th
day of April, 1948;
(d) A City Treasurer of the City of Arcadia to hold office
for the full term or period of four (4) years from and after the 13th
day of April, 1948J
SECTION 2. That for the purpose of holding said election there
shall be and are hereby established ten (10) election preCincts de-
signated as hereinafter stated. That the polling places for the
respective precL.cts shall be the places hereinafter designated,
and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified
electors and res:ldents of said City, and of their respective election
precincts are hereby appointed officers of election for their re-
spective electioIl precincts, and they shall hold said election and
make return thereof in the manner provided by law.
Voting PrE.cinct A shall consist of the regular election
Precincts Nos. 1, 14 and 29 in the City of Arcadia as now establish-
ed for the holding of state and county elections.

SECTION 3. That the polls for said election shall be opened
at 7:00 o'clock A.M. on the day of said election and shall remain
open continuously from said time until 7:00 o'clock P.M. of the said
day.
SECTION 4. That said general municipal election shall be held
in accordance with the provisions of the Election Code of the State
of California pertaining to cities of the sixth class, and with the
General Election Laws of the State of California.

SECTION 5. That the compensation to be paid to each of the
said officers of' election for all services by each of said officers
to be rendered s.t said general election shall be and the same is
hereby fixed at the sum of $ R.OO
SECTION 6. That said City Council vill meet in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall on Tuesday, April 20, 1948, at the hour of
8:00 o'clock P.M. to canvass the returns of said election and declare
the results thereof.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.

adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City of
Arcadia, held on the 2nd day of March, 1948, by the affirmative vote
