RESOLUTION NO. 1768
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, FROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL IN THE
COMPETITIVE SERVICE OF SAID CITY.
TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOYlS' :
SECTION 1.. WHEREAS, it is necessary that there be made avail-
able in the Police Department of the City of Arcadia sufficient
additional personnel, pursuant to recommendation heretofore made
by the Personnel Board of the City of Arcadia, to the end that the
increasing work of said department shall be performed in an ef-
ficient and economical manner:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the personnel of said
Police Department be, and it is hereby, increased to twenty-six
(26) e~ployees, in the competitive service of said City, whose
salaries and wages shall be within the minimum and maximum amounts
established by the provisions of Resolutions No. 1652 and No. 1653,
adopted December 16, 1947.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held
on the 18th day of May, 1948, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: CounCilmen, Boucher, Klomp, Nugent and Russell
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Ewing
