HomeMy WebLinkAbout1782 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1782 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUlfCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CHANGE SET BACK LI~mS ON A PORTION OF SANTA ANITA AVENUE, A PUBLIC S~rREET IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT1 OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. ~lat an application has heretofore been filed with the City Council of tho City of Arcadia requesting a change in the herein- after described set-back lines, and that said set-back lines be changed in accordance with said application and as described in this resolution. SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to change set-back lines on the following described portions of Santa Anita Avenue, a public street in said City of Arcadia, and to re-establish said set-back lines as follows: Along and in front of Lots 48, 49 and SO of Haven Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 13, pages 22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, the set-back lines shall be changed from thirty-five (35) feet and re-established at fifteen (15) feet; Along and in front of Lots 51 and 52 of Haven Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 13, pages 22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los Angeles Coun~y, the set-back lines shall be changed from ten (10) feet and re-established at fifteen (15) feet. SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday the 3rd day of August, 1948, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. of said day, in the Council Chamber of the City Council, in the City Hall of said City of Arcadia, any and all persons having objections to s~id proposed set-back lines may appear before said City Council and show cause why said proposed set-back lines should not be changed, in accordance with this resolution. SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause to be posted along the portions of said street along vhich it is proposed to change and re-establish said set-back lines, at not more than three hun- dred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all, notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certiry to the adoption of this ,~OQl5D resolution and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general cir- culation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby designated for that purpose. I HEHEBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 6th day of July, 1948, by the affirmative vote of at least three councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Ewing, Klomp, Nugent and Russell NOES: None ABSENT: Counci 1 man Boucher Ci SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of July, 1948. c&~,~La/ Mayor of the City of Arcadia.
