RESOLUTION NO. 3165
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 3159 AND
TERMINATING THE ANNEXATION
PROCEEDINGS INSTITUTED THEREBY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY DETERMIN.E: AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
California, did on August 4, 1959, pass, approve and adopt its cer-
tain Resolution No. 3159 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRES-
ENT CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, THE SAME BEING SITUATED NEAR
THE SOUTHERLY PORTION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AND DESIGNATED AS 'AN-
NEXATION NO. 19, SOUTH ARCADIA UNINHABITED, ,II wherein and whereby
said Council did on its own motion institute proceedings for the an-
nexation to the City of Arcadia of the uninhabited territory therein
described and thereby designated as "Annexation No. 19, South Ar-
cadia Uninhabited."
SECTION 2. That thereafter the proposal for the annexa-
tion of said territory to the City of Arcadia was submitted to the
Boundary Commissi.on of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. That the Boundary Commission of the County of
Los Angeles did on August 26, 1959, issue its report thereon as re-
quired by Section 35002 of the California Government Code, which
report revised the boundary description of aforesaid territory so
as to provide the definiteness and certainty intended under the
provisions of Section 35002 of aforesaid Government Code, and which
report further approved the boundaries of the proposed annexation
as thus revised.

SECTION 4. That no notice of said proposed annexation
has been published, mailed or given as required by Section 35311
of the California Government Code and no written protest to the an-
nexation of an~r portion of said territory has heretofore been filed
with the City of Arcadia or any officer thereof by any owner of
property within the territory proposed to be annexed.
SECTION 5. That for the foregoing reasons Resolution No.
3159 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, THE SAME BEING SITUATED NEAR THE
SOUTHERLY PORTION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AND DESIGNATED AS 'AN-
NEXATION NO. 19., SOUTH ARCADIA UNINHABITED, ,II passed, approved and
adopted August iI, 1959, be and the same is hereby repealed and the
proceedings for the annexation to the City of Arcadia of uninhabited
territory therei.n described be and the same are hereby terminated.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on the 1st day of September, 1959, by the affirmative vote of
at least three Councilmen, to wit:
