HomeMy WebLinkAbout3170 RESOLUTION NO. 3170 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE SCALE OF PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2934 AND ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND HESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 1773 of the Cali- fornia Labor Code, the following wage scales for the basic trades are hereby ascertained and determined to be the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of the City of Arcadia and the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality. That the rates hereinafter specified shall be ap- plicable as of the date of the adoptlon hereof, except in such instances as rates or schedules are hereinafter specified to be effective at a date later than the date of the adoption hereof and in such cases the rates shall be effective upon the respective dates hereinafter specifled. That Resolution No. 2934 entitled "A RESOLU- TION OF THE CI~~Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPT- ING THE SCALE OF THE PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES", adopted October 1, 195'i', and all other resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations within ten (10) days after the date of the adoption hereof, and annually thereafter shall cause a certified copy hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations; if during any annual period the City Coun- cil determines that there has been a change in any prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of the City of Arcadia, the City Clerk shall not:ify the Director of Industrial Relations of such determination ~lthin ten (10) days after such determination is made.
