HomeMy WebLinkAbout3173 ,; RESOLUTION NO. 3173 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING AND ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS TO BE APPLICABLE TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2714 AND 2720 SOUTH BALDWIN AVENUE AND AT THE REAR OF 535, 541 AND 547 WORKMAN AVENUE IN SAID CITY UNDER ITS CLASSIFICATION IN ZONE D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC C-2, R-3 AND P (PARKING) ZONING APPLICABLE THERETO. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND ltESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, as amended, proceedings were duly and regularly held by and before the City Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Arcadia, as a result of which said City Council determined that the following described property in Tract No. 6641, per map recorded in Book 126, page 67, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, should be reclassified as follows: From Zone R-l to Zone C-2: Lots 41 and 42, and the North 101 feet of Lots 39 and 40, and From Zone R-l to Zone R-3 and P: The North 41 feet of Lot 38; and has further determined that the above described property be con- currently established in Zone D (Architectural Overlay) in addition to the aforesaid basic zoning. SECTION 2. That the following restrictions should be and the same are hereby imposed upon and made applicable to the above described propert;y, pursuant to Section 12.1 of Ordinance No. 760, to wit: a. Every exterior sign shall pertain only to a use con- ducted within the Duilding. -1- 3173 b. All flood lighting shall be directed away from ad- joining properties. c. The exterior walls of all buildings, other than brick or natural field materials, shall be of pastel colors. All exterior walls shall be of masonry or concrete construction and all construc- tion shall comply with the requirements for buildings and occupan- cies in Fire Zone 1. d. No signs on the property hereinbefore described shall exceed 50 feet in height above the ground nor contain any blinking lights or moving parts, and no sign on any property adjacent to and used or developed in conjunction with the property hereinbefore de- scribed shall exceed 35 feet in height above the ground or contain blinking or flashing lights. The number and location of the signs shown on the exhibits introduced by applicant at the hearing before this Council is hereby approved, and no further signs shall be per- mitted on subject property or any property used or developed in con- junction with subject property without the further approval of the City CounciL e. Towers, chimneys, spires, gables, roof structures, flag poles, radio or television masts shall not exceed a height of twenty feet above the roof of the main portion of the building. f. All parking areas shall be improved and walled as re- quired by Section 15 of the Zoning Ordinance. g. The Planning Commission or City Council may modify any of the foregoing conditions if such modification will not ad- versely affect property or improvements in the vicinity and if such modification will equally accomplish substantially the same results as will the adherence to the foregoing conditions. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
