HomeMy WebLinkAbout3191 RESOLUTION NO. 3191 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF RESOLUTION NO. 3092 OF SAID CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That through inadvertence an error appears in Section 1 of Resolution No. 3092 of said City; that from the other portions of said resolution it is evident that the legal de- scription therein contained is erroneous and it is likewise evident from the balance of the resolution that the property intended to be described by the legal description is the property hereinafter specifically described in Section 2 hereof. SECTION 2. For the foregoing reasons, Section 1 of Reso- lution No. 3092 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION ~~D OPERATION OF A TEMPLE AND RELIGIOUS SCHOOL AT THE CORNER OF FOOTJULL BOULEVARD AND SECOND AVENUE IN SAID CITY", adopted January 6, 1959, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "SEC~~ION 1. Tha t there was filed with the City Planning Commission on :uly 16, 1958, the application of the Foothill Jewish Community Cente,r, as owner, signed by Charles Laps on, President, for a zone vari.ance to permit the construction and operation of a temple and religious school upon the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: Lot 5, Block 90, Santa Anita Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 34, pages 41 and 42, Miscellaneous Records of said County, located at the northwest corner of Foothill Boulevard and Second Avenue. That after notice as required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City of Arcadia, as amended, a public hearing was duly held by and -1- 3191 . before said Commission on the 12th day of August, 1958, which said hearing was continued to August 26, 1958~ whi~h said hearing was again continued to September 10, 1958, which said hearing was again continued to September 23, 1958, and still further continued to October 14, 1958; that at the October 14th hearing it was decided that inasmuch as the original application had been modified another public hearing should be held on the matter. That after notice again as required by Ordinance No. 760, as amended, another publiC hearing was duly held on the matter by and before said Planning Com- mission on the 28th day of October, 1958, which said hearing was continued to November 12, 1958, at all of which times all interested persons were g:iven full opportunity to be heard and to present evi- dence. That upon the conclusion of said hearings, said Commission adopted its certain Resolution No. 318, wherein and whereby it made '/ certain findings and recommendations to this Council. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certiry to the adoption of this Resolution.
