THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING AND ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY ON LOUISE AND IEROY AVENUES IN ZONE D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) IN ADDITION TO THE BASIC R-l ZONING APPLICABIE THERETO. THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,' DOES DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: t SECTION 1. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, .as aniended, proceedings were duly and regularly held by and before the CHy Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, as a result of which said Planning Commission in its Resolution No. 304, adopted August l~~, 1958, recommended the establ1shment in Zone D (Architectural Overlay), in addition to the basic zoning of R-l, of the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: Those portions of Lots 6, 9 and 14, Arcadia Acreage Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10, page l8, of'Maps, records of Los Angeles County, described as follows: All of Lot 6, except the west 253.94 feet of the east 283.94 feet; the south 180 feet of the west 261.84 feet; and the north 282.50 feet of the west 289.90 feet thereof, All of Lot 9, except the west 280.92 feet of the east 310.92 feet; and the west 260.92 feet thereof, ... The east 398.84 feet of the west 574.84 feet of the north 100 feet of Lot 14; that concurrent with said recommendation, the City Planning Commis- , sion further determined and recommended that the restrictions here- inafter provided should be made applicable to each of the foregoing properties if they be reclassified as therein recommended. ,.,., SECTION 2. That pursuant to aforesaid Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, as amended, a public hearing was duly and -1- 3057 regularly held by and before the City Council of the City of Arcadia upon the aforesaj,d recommendations of the City Planning Commission, as a result of which the City Council determined that, aforesaid property' should be established in Zone D in addition to the basic R-l zoning appli<Jablethereto. SECTION 3. That, in order to insure a reasonably uniform .. development of the streets created by the new subdivision, the fol- lowing restrictions should be and, the same are hereby imposed upon the above described property, pursuant to Section 12.1 of Ordinance No. 760, to wit: a. That no building or'structure be moved on to the lots; b. That no dwelling erected on any lot shall contain less than 1500 square feet of floor area,exclusiveof porches, garages, entries, patios and basements; , " c. That any dwelling more than one story In,height erected '" ~ on said property shall contain not less than 1000 square feet of floor area on the ground floor, exclusive of porches, garages, entries, patios and basements; d. That the above regulations shall expire at the end of twenty years or upon the expiration date of the tract restrictions limiting the improvement or use of land which maybe established on proposed Tract No. 21228, whichever occurs first. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. ~ I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 7th day of October , 1958, by the affirmative,vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: '...'
