OF ARCADIA AVENUE IN S.I,ID CITY OF ARCADIA AND DET1'R!JINING THAT SERIAL B01ms SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF AND FIXING A TU:E AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIOKS TO SAID PBDroSED \'IORK OR IMPROVE- liENT AND REPEALING RESOLUTION OF IrTENTION NO. 299, ADOPTED HAY 19, 1926. 2 3 4 THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 5 6 SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience 7 require and it is ~. line intention of the Board of Trustees of the 8 City of Arcadia to order the following work and improvement to be done in said City of Arcadia, to-wit: 9 First: Tha.t a concrete curb be constructed in said 11 Arcadia Avenue from the ~esterly line of Baldwin Avenue to the 12 13 14 15 16 17[ 181 19 I 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 ~esterly boundary line of said City of Arcadia along a line parallel I to and ten feet Southerly from the l10rtherly line of sa,id Arcadia I Avenue, including returns at Golden West Avenue and Arcadia Avenue; Sunset Boulevard and Arcadia Avenue and returns at or near Station No. 20 on sa.id Aroadia Avenue, except where a concrete curb is al.,., ready constructed in said portion of Arcadia Avenue and is in good: condi tion. Second: That a concrete curb be constructed in said Arcadia Avenue from the Westerly line of Baldwin Avenue to the ;','esterly boundary_line of said Ci ty of Arcadia. along a line paral- lel to and ten feet Northerly from the Southerly line of said Arcadia Avenue, including returns at Golden '.':est Avenue a.nd Ar- cadia Avenue; Sunset Boulevard and Arcadia Avenue and returns at or near Station No. 17 on said Arcadia Avenue, except where a '..,- concrete curb is already constructed in sa.id portion of Arcadia Avenue ana is in good condition. I . macadam pavement three inches thick, except where such oil macadam pavement is now in place and in good condition in the intersections of Golden ~est Avenue and Arcadia Avenue; Sunset Boulevard and Arcadia Avenue, and also except where an oil macadam pavement is already constructed in said portion of Aroadia Avenue and is in good condition. Fourth: That that portion of the roadway of said Arcadia: Avenue from said Westerly line of said BaldTIin Avenue to said ~esterly City boundary line, lying between the Southerly curb line of said portion of Arcadia Avenue and the pavement now in place in said portion of Arcadia Avenue, be graded and paved with an oil' maoadam pavement three inohes thick, except where said oil macadam I I pavement is now in place and in good condition in the intersections of Golden West Avenue and Arcadia Avenue; Sunset Boulevard and Arcadia Avenue and also except where an oil macad&n pavement has already been constructed in said portion of Arcadia Avenue and is in good condition. SECTION 2: That the grade to which the work hereinbefore' described shan be done and the improvement made as provided in this Resolution, is that shown on Profile and Improvement Plan No. 0-131" on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, to which said Profile reference is hereby made for the description of such grade. SECTION 3: All of the foregoing work shall be done in a.ccorda.nce with said Profile a.nd Improvement Plan No. C-131, on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of Arcadia. C-131 and the Specifications hereinabove referred to, were adopted by Resolution No. 301 of said Board of Trustees and the s~ne are hereby made a part of this Resolution and are hereby referred to for a more particular description of said work. 2 3 All Streets and Avenues referred to in this Resolution are public Streets and Avenues of said City of Arcadia. SECTION 4: Said Board of Trustees also determi\j.es and declares that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of Twenty-five ($25.00) D~llars or more remaining un- paid for twenty (20) days after the date of the Warrant to re- present the expen~e of said work and improvement. Said Serial Bonds shall extend over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next suoceeding the fifteenth day of the next November following their date and an even annual proportion of the principal Sllin thereof shall be payable by coupon on the second day of January every year after the fifteenth day of the next November following their date, until the whole is paid and the interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon on the second days of January and July, respectively, of each year after their date at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. SECTION 5: Notioe is hereby given that on TIednesday, the 7th day of July, 1926, at the hour of eight o'clock P.ll. of said day, in the Counoil Chamber of the Board of Trustees of said City of Arcadia, in the City Hall of said City, any and all persons having any objections to said proposed work or improvement I may appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution. I I , I I . 1 improvement and for the issuance cif said Bonds, shan be had and 2 taken under -"'" 0............ in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of 3 the State of California, knovm arid designated as the "Improvement 4 Act of 1911," approved April 7,1911, and of all Acts supplemen- 5 tary thereto or amendatory thereof. 6 SECTION 7: The Superintendent of Streets shall post or 7 cause to be posted conspicuously along the line of said contem- 8 plated work or improvement, notices of the passage of this Reso- 9 lution in the manner and form required by law. 10 SECTIOh 8: Resolution of Intention No. 299 being the 11 Resolution heretofore adopted by said Board of Trustees providing 12 for the improvement of said portion of Arcadia Avenue, together 13 with all proceedings had subsequent thereto and dependent thereon, 14 is hereby repealed. 15: SECTION 9: The City Olerk shan certify to the adoption 16 of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published twice 171 in The Arcadia News, a weekly ne\ispaper published and circulated 18 [, in said City of Arcadia and hereby designated for that purpose. 19,1 Said Board of Trustees does not deem it advisable that the City 20 Clerk mail copies of "Notice of Improvement" to the owners or 21 reputed owners of property to be assessed for such work or improve- 22 23 24 25 ment and the mailing of suoh notices is hereby dispensed with.
