RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 381. , 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ~RUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AR- CADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF DIAMOND STREE 2 IN SUD CITY OF ARCADIA AND DECLARING SAID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT TO B OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT AND DESCRIBING THE 3 DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED BY SAID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT AND TO BE AS- SESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEREOF AND DETERMINING THAT 4 SERIAL BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK OR 5 IMPROVEMENT OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED OR BOTH. 8 THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS. FOLLOWS: SECTION l:. That the public interest and convenience re-j quire and it is the intention of the Board of Tr~stees of seid city of Arcadia to order the following work and improvement to be done in Stid City of Arcadia, to-wit: FIRST: That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width be constructed on either side of Diamond Street from the Westerly line of Second Avenue to the Easterly line of First Avenue, in saidl ! City of Arcadia, including intersecting returns at Diamond Street and Second Avenue and also at Diamond Street and First Avenue. SECOND: That a concrete curb be constructed in said portion of Diamond Street along a line twelve (12) feet Southerly 18 of and parallel to the Northerly line of said Diamond Street and of also along a line twelve (12) feet Northerl~.and pa.rallel to the I 20 I Southerly line of said Diamond Street, including returns at Diamond I , , I Street and Second Avenue. I Said work shall also be in accordance with the followin : ment; II nStandard Specifications No. 1 for the installation of street lighting standards, wires, conduits and allaccessory fixtur s thereto. . Said Profile and Improvement Plan No. C-139 and the Specifications hereinabove referred to, were adopted by Resolution! No. 379 of said Board of Trustees and the same are hereby made a part of this Resolution and ~re hereby referred to for a more par-, ticular description of said work. All Streets end Avenues referred to in this Resolution are public streets and avenues of said City of Arcadia. Trustees hereby makes the exp~nse of said work and improvement chargeable upon a District, which District said Board of T!Ustees hereby declares to be the District benefited by said work and im- provement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which said District is bounded and described as follows: All that portion of said City of Arcadia included within the following described exterior boundary lines,. to-wit: Beginning at the Northwest co~ner of Lot 3, Block 64i Part of Arcadia, in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, state of California, as per Map recorded.in Book 15, Pages 89 and , 90, Miscellaneous Records of said County; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of Lots 3 to 15, both inclusive, and also Lot. 18 in Block 64t of said Part of Arcadia, to the Northeast corner 0+ said Lot 18; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of Lots 18, 17 and 16, in Block 64t of said Part of Arcadia, to the Southeast corner of said Lot 16; thence Southerly in a direct line to the Northeast corner of Lot 21, in Block 64 of said Part of Arcadia; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of Lots 2l, 20 and 19, in Block 64, of said Part of Arcadia, to the Southeast corner of said Lot 19; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of Lot.. 19 and also Lots 22 to 34, both inclusive, in said Block 64, of said Part of Arcadia, to the Southwest corner of said Lot 34; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of Lots 34, 35 and 36, in Block , 64 of said Part of Arcadia, to the Northwest corner of said Lot 36; thence Northerly in a direct line to the Southwest corner of Lot 1, fn Block 64t of said P~rt of Arcadia; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of Lots 1, 2 and 3, in Block'64i of said Part of Arcadia to the place of beginning. The above description is, general only. A Plat or Map of said District indicating by a boundary line the extent of the territory included in the proposed Assessment District is on file in the office of said City Engineer. The said Plat or Map so on file shall 3 govern for all details as to the extent of such Assessment District. 4 SECTION 5: Said Board of Trustees also determines and 5 declares that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent each assess- ment of Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollars, or more remaining Unpaid for twenty (20) days after the date of the Warrant to represent the expenses of said work and improvement. said Serial Bonds shall tend over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of ex-/ I January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November fol- lowing their date and an even annual proportion of the principal I sum thereof shall be payable by coupon on the second day of January, I every year after the fifteenth day of the next November following their date, until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon on the second days of January and July respectively of each year after their date atthe rate of seven I (7) per cent per annu.'11 on all sums unpaid until the whole of said : principal and interest are paid. SECTION 6: Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday the sixth day of April, 1927, at the hour of eight o'clock P. M. of said day, in the Council Chamber of the Board of Trustees of said City of Arcadia, in the City Hall of said City, any and all persons having ~ny objections to said proposed work or improvement or to the extent of the District to be assessed, or both, may appear be- fore said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed work or improveMent should not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution. SECTION 9: The City Olerk shall certify to the adoptior of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published twioe in The Arcadia News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated i in said City of Arcadia and hereby designated for that purpose. said Board of Trustees does not deem it advisable that the City ,Clerk mail.copies of "Notice of Improvement" to the owners or reputed nwners of property within said Assesement District and the mailing of such notices is hereby dispensed with.
