RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 383, 1 2 3 4 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AR- CADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF GOLDEN WEST AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA AND DETERMINING THAT SERIAL Borms SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVEMENT, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience rel quire and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of said Cit~ of Arcadia to order the following work and improvement to be done 7 8 in said City of Arcadia, to-wit: 9 , FIRST: That a concrete curb be ~onstructed in Golden West Avenue from the Southerly line of Huntington Drive to the Northerly line of Duarte Road in said City of Arcadia, along a linJ parallel to and ten (10) feet Easterly from the Westerly line of ! said Golden West Avenue, including returns at Golden West Avenue and Duarte Road, except where a concrete curb is already constructe' in said portion of Golden west Avenue to the official line and g~a and is no~ in good condition and also excepting therefrom such por- tions of said Golden West Avenue and intersections as are requir~d by law to be kept in order or repair by any person or company hav- i I r ing railroad tracks thereon, i SECOND: That a concrete curb be constructed in said I Golden West Avenue along a line parallel to and ten (10)! SECTION 3: That the grade to which the work hereinbe- fore described shall be done and the improvement made as provided in this Resolution, is that shown on Profile a~d Improvement Plan No, C-138 on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, to which said Profile reference is hereby made for the description of suchgrade. Said work shall also be in accordance with the following Specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of Arcadia, to-wit: Standard Specifications No, 0 for the construction of curbs, sidewalks, gutters, oil macadam pavement and concrete pave- ment, Said Profile and Improvement Plan No, C-138 and the Specifications hereinabove referred to, were adopted by Resolution No, 382 of said Board of Trustees and the. same are hereby made a part of this Resolution and are hereby referred. to for a more par- ticular description of said work, All Stre~ts and Avenues, referred to in this Resolution are publiC Streets and Avenues of said City of Arcadia. SEOTION 5: Said Board of Trustees hereby determines and declares that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent each a.ssessment o'f .Twenty-five ($25,00") Dollars or more remaining unpai for twenty (20) days after the date of the warrant to represent th exuenses of said work and imurovement, Said serial bonds shall . . . extend over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeading the fifteenth day of the next November following their date and an even annual proportion of the principa sum thereof shall be payable by coupon on the second day of Jan- uary every year after the fifteenth day of the next November fol- lowing their date, until the whole is paid and the interest shall be payable semi-annually by coupon on the second days of January and July respectively of each year after their date at the rate of seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of sai . . principal and interest are paid. SECTION 6: Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, the 6th, day of April, 1927, at the hour of eight o'clock p, M, of said day, in the Council Chamber of the Board of Trustees of eaid City of Arcadia, in the City Hall of said City, any and all person -3- /Ro. .Frs . . z Z . 03: ;:! LI.I C m Z ".J . u .. a:: I-..IIL ::J C ::!:i ~ III > C .. . u "en .. z C II Z ..- a: . > Z 0 ~ 2 z 1: lI) ~ :J c ~:I o N o N . . . . 1 having any objections to said proposed work or improvement or both, 2 may appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why said 3 proposed work or improvement should not be carried out. in accord- 4- a.nce wi th this Resolution. 5 SECTION 7: All the proceedings for the aforesaid work 8 and improvement and for the issuance of said bonds shall be had and . 7 taken under and in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the 8L~gislature of the State of California, known and designated as the 9 "Improvement Act of 1911", approved April 7,1911, and of all Acts 10 supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof. 11 ',' SEOTION 8: The Superintendent of Streets shall post or 12 cause to be posted conspicuously along the line of said contemplate 13 work or improvement, notices of the passage of this Resolution in r 14 the manner and form required by law. 15 SEOTION 9: The Oity Clerk shall certify to the passage 18 I of this Resolution and Shall cause the same to be published twice 17 I in The Arcadia NeWS, a weekly newspaper published and circulated 18 I in slid City of Arcadia and hereby designated for that ~~rpose, 19 I Said Board of Trustees does not deem it advisable that the City Olerk 20 mail copies of "1;otice of Improvementn to the owners or reputed 21 owners of property to be assessed for such proposed work or improve- 22 ment and the mailing of such notices is hereby dispensed with. 23 The foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meet- 24 ing of the Board of Trustees of the Oi ty of Arcadia., held on the 25 2nd, day of March, 1927, by the affirmative vote of at least three 26 Trustees, to-wit: 27 28 ' 29 !
