HomeMy WebLinkAbout2920 'or ~ RESOLUTION NO. 2920 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, FffiQUESTING JURISDICTION TO I~WROVE PROPERTY ALONG HUNTINGTON DRIVE ACQUIFffiD BY LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR STREET PURPOSES. \iHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has heretofore ac- quired by eminent domain the abandoned Pacific Electri\ Railway right of way from Michillinda Boulevard on the west to Holly Avenue on the east, all in the City of Arcadiaj and, WHE~lEAS, the County of Los Angeles has no present plans for the impro'iement of' said property for street purposesj and, fmEREAS, the City of Arcadia is desirous of planning the improvement o:~ said abandoned right of way as a public street; NOW.. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY m,SOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SEC~~ION 1. That the Honorable Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County be requested by appropriate action to confer juris- diction, right and title upon and to the City of Arcadia for the im- provement as a public street of the abandoned Pacific Electric Rail- way right of way property, extending along Huntington Drive from ~ rUchillinda Boulevard on the west to Holly Avenue on the east, all in the City of' Arcadia, which said portion of abandoned Pacif'ic Electric Railway right of way has heretofore been acquired by emi- nent domain b;y the County of Los Angeles for street purposes. SECTION 2. The City ,Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be sent to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County.
