THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE:, ORDER, FIND AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Resolution of Intention No. 2955, passed, approved and adopted December 17, 1957, and after a publiC hearing on the matter in conformance with the prOVisions of the Municipal Lighting Maintenance District Act of 1927, being Division 14, Part 3, of the streets and Highways Code of the State of California, it is hereby ordered that a lighting rnain- tenance district be and the same is hereby formed and that the -1- 2971 boundaries of Eluch lighting rnaintenance district, which district is to pay the cost and expenses for the maintenance and operation of a street lighting systern on portions of Huntington Drive, Duarte Road, Baldwin Avenue, Fairview Avenue, Arcadia Avenue, Naorni Avenue, Wis- taria Avenue, ~lelanie Lane, Sharon Road, Rosernarie Drive, Holly Ave- nue, Birchcroft. street, Lemon Avenue, Louise Avenue, Winnie Way, Grace Avenue, ~atson Drive, Lee Avenue, First Avenue, Magna Vista Avenue, Greenfield Avenue, La Sierra Drive, Pamela Road, Second Ave- nue, Third Aver.~e, Fourth Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Sixth Avenue, Camino Real, Altern Street, Leda Lane, Peachtree Lane, Robbins Drive, Coyle Avenue, Norman Avenue, Eighth Avenue, Longden Avenue, Doolittle Avenue, Tenth Avenue, Mayflower Avenue, Loganrita Avenue, Bungalow Place, Magnolia Lane, Santa Anita Avenue, Oakwood Drive, Highland Oaks ~rive, Sycamore Avenue, Woodland Avenue, Orange Grove Avenue, Yorkshire Drive, Marendale Lane, Ontare Road, Oakwood Avenue, Wilson Avenue, Elevado Avenue, Virginia Drive, Sierra Madre Boule- vard, Doshier Avenue, Grandview Avenue, Oaks Place, Elkins Place, Elkins Avenue, vfuite Oak Drive, Carolwood Drive, Canyon Road, Vista Avenue, Highland Vista Drive, Angelo Place, Hillgreen Place, Mari- lyn Place, Topaz Place, Rodeo Road, Anita Crest Drive, Chantry Drive, Stonehouse Road, Andrea Lane, Hacienda Drive, Woodland Lane, Foothill Boulevard, San Carlos Road, Colorado Street, Merry Oak Lane, Santa Maria Road, Cornell Drive, Windsor Road, Newman Avenue, Sunset Boule- vard, Hungate Lane, Southview Road, Bella Vista Drive, Tulip Lane and Orangewood Lane in said city, over and above the fifty percent (50%) of the total rnaintenance and operation costs and expenses thereof in Zone 1 and the forty percent (40%) of the total rnainte- nance and operation costs and expenses thereof in Zone 2 to be paid out of the treasury of the City of Arcadia frorn the general fund of said City, shall be and the same are hereby finally established in conformance with and shown on that certain rnap entitled "Diagram of -2- 2971 Lighting Maintenance District No. 12", heretofore prepared by the City Engineer ,1Dd approved and aQopted by Resolution No. 2954 of the City Council 0: the City of Arcadia on Decernber 17, 1957, and on file in the of::'ice of the City Clerk of said City. SECTION 2. That the iterns of expense of maintenance and operation of the aforesaid street lighting systern agreed to be fur- nished and the estimated cost thereof for the first year, commenc- ing July 1, 1958, are as follows: electric power, repairs, re- placernents, ma1,ntenance, labor, materials, engineering, printing and advertising; that the estirnated amount of electric power neces- sary for said systern in Zone 1 of said district for each year is two hundred three thousand, six hundred thirty-two (203,632) kilo- watt hours and the estimated cost of said electric power for the first year of rnaintenance and operation is the sum of Eleven thou- sand, two hundred ninety-four dollars and fourteen cents ($11,294.14); and the estirnated amount of electric power necessary for said system in Zone 2 of said district for each year is One hundred twelve thou_ sand, eight hundred fifty-one (112,851) kilowatt hours and the esti- - mated cost of said electric power for the first year of rnaintenance and operation is the sum of Five thousand, nine hundred seventy- five dollars and sixty-four cents ($5,975.64). SECTION 3. That the percentage of the total expenses of the aforesaid maintenance and operation to be paid by the afore- said district, as set forth in aforesaid Resolution No. 2955 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, shall be paid by special assessrnent taxeB levied upon all lands, exclusive of irnprovements, within said district as hereinabove formed and established. SECTION 4. That fifty percent (50%) of the total ex- penses of maintenance and operation in Zone 1 of said district shall be paid out of the treasury of the City of Arcadia frorn the general fund of said city and the remainder of the total expenses of maintenance ~.nd operation in Zone 1 of said district shall be paid by Zone 1 of such district; that forty percent (40%) of the total expenses of maintenance and operation in Zone 2 of said dis- trict shall be Faid out of the treasury of the City of Arcadia frorn -17- 2971 the general fund of said city and the remainder of the total expenses of rnaintenance and operatlon in Zone 2 of said district shall be paid by Zone 2 of such district. SECTION 5. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be filed with the Assessor who rnakes the assessments for the general city taxes, and thereafter the Assessor in rnaking up the city assess- ment roll shall segregate the property included within the district hereby forrned on the assessrnent roll under the district designation contained in the resolution, to wit: "Lighting l-laintenance District No. 12."
