A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICTS NOS. 5, 6,
7, 8 AND 10 TO BE INCLUDED IN LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 12, AND REQUEST-
ING THE ELIMINATION OF SEPARATE CODE AREAS
HERETOFORE ESTABLISHED BY REASON OF SAID
LIGHTING r~INTENANCE DISTRICTS NOS. 5, 6,
7, 8 AND 10.. .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOvTS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the prOVisions of the Munici-
pal Lighting Maintenance District Act of 1927, being Division 14,
Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
Lighting Maintenance District No. 12 of the City of Arcadia was
formed by Resolution No. 2971, adopted January 21, 1958. That said
Lighting Maintenance District No. 12 includes properties heretofore
included within Lighti~ Maintenance Districts Nos. 5, 6, 7, 8 and

10, as well as properties served by new installations of lighting
systerns. That Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No.5, formed
by Resolution No. 2365, adopted April 21, 1953, expires, by the terrns
of the proceedings culrninating in its forrnation, on April 21, 1958;
that Arcadia Lighti~ Maintenance District No.6, formed by Resolu-
tion No. 2480, adopted February 16, 1954, expires, by the terms of
the proceedings culminating in its forrnation, on June 30, 1958; that
Arcadia Lightin,g Maintenance District 7, forrned by Resolution No.
2501, adopted May 18, 1954, expires, by the terms of the proceedings
culminating in its formation, on May 18, 1959; that Arcadia Lighting
Maintenance District No. 8,formed by Resolution No. 2594, adopted
February 15, 1955, expires, by the terms of the proceedi~s cul-
rninating in its formation, on June 30, 1958; and that Lighti~ Main-
tenance District No. 10, formed by Resolution No. 2732, adopted Janu-
ary 23, 1956, expires, by the terms of the proceedings culrninating

in its formation, on June 30, 1958. That by reason of the expira-
tion and termination of Lighting Maintenance Districts Nos. 5, 6, 8
and 10, no charge or assessment will be rnade or levied during the
fiscal year 1938-1959 by the City of Arcadia against any properties
by reason of said Lighting Maintenance Districts Nos. 5, 6, 8 and
10; that for the reason that all properties heretofore included
within said Lighting Maintenance District No. 7 have now been in-
cluded within Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 12, forrned
January 21, 19~)8, by Resolution No. 2971, the City of Arcadia will
rnake no charge or assessrnent during the fiscal year 1958-1959 by
reason of said Lighting Maintenance District No.7.
SECTION 2. For the foregoing reasons the City Council
hereby directs and requests that all tax code areas heretofore
established so:e1y by reason of aforesaid Lighting Maintenance Dis-
trict~ Nos. 5. 6, 7, 8 and 10 be abolished and discontinued.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be
filed with the County Assessor of Los Angeles County and the state
Board of Equalization of the State of California on or before Janu-
ary 31, 1958.
I HEF~Y CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular rneeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 21st day' of January, 1958, by the affirmative vote of at
least three councilmen, to wit:
