RESOLUTION NO. 2818
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT FOR
THE IMPROVEMENT OF OPENING AND EXTENDING LOUISE
AVENUE AND LE ROY AVENUE IN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the assessment and diagram for the improvement of the
opening and extending of Louise Avenue and Le Roy Avenue in the city of
Arcadia, pursuant to Ordinance of Intention No, 892 of said city, adopted
by the City Council of said city May 18, 1954, and pursuant to Ordinance
No. 896 of said city adopted by said City Council on June 15, 1954, was
filed in the office of the City Clerk of said city on August 20, 1956; and
\fHEREAS, all proceedings in connection therewith have been in
accordance with and pursuant to provisions of the Street Opening Act of
1903, being Division 6, Part 1 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has given notice of the filing of
said assessment and diagram and of the time and place set for the hearing
on said assessment and for the confirmation thereof as required by law,
and said clerk has filed with this City Council affidavits setting forth
the time and manner of the publication and mailing of said notices; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place of hearing stated in said
notices, to wit: October 16, 1956, in the Council Chamber of said city,
said assessment duly was presented and considered and all written protests
and objections received, if any, duly were presented, read, heard and
considered and all persons desiring to be heard thereon were heard and all
other persons appearing at said hearing and desiring to be heard in the
matter of said assessment were heard and a full, fair and complete hearing
has been had and this City Council is informed fully in the premises; and
\fHEREAS, all protests and objections, written and oral, if any,
made or filed in the matter of said assessment have been overruled and
denied and this City Council is satisfied with the correctness of said
assessment and the diagram attached thereto;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arcadia does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1, That the assessment and the diagram attached thereto
for the improvement of the opening and extending of Louise Avenue and Le
Roy Avenue, pursuant to said Ordinances No, 892 and No. 896 be and the
same hereby are confirmed and approved.
SECTION 2. That all protests and objections, written and oral,
if any, made or filed in the matter of said assessment or diagram have
been and hereby are overruled and denied.
SECTION 3, That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect,
